Tales Of The TMNT Teaser Trailer Reveals Recreation Of Famous 40-Year Comic Book In Animation

A new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shows the Turtles posing to recreate an iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cover. Based on the comic book characters created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman, the TMNT franchise has become one of the most beloved and successful media franchises. In 2023, the franchise was rebooted with the release of Mutant Mayhem, and, along with the movie, it was confirmed that an accompanying animated series would also be released.

Now, in a newly released teaser trailer for the upcoming Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by IGN, the Turtles are pictured posing to recreate the iconic cover for the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles release. Check it out below:

The new trailer also features exciting bits of the wild adventure that the Turtles will be embarking upon in this highly anticipated animated series.

What To Expect From Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

& How It Connects To The New Mutant Mayhem Movies

Before the announcement of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the TMNT franchise produced four different animated series, all of which found moderate success and helped expand the ever-growing TMNT universe. However, following the release of Mutant Mayhem in 2023, Paramount+ confirmed that a new animated series, which would serve as the fifth animated series in the franchise, would accompany the two-part feature film as a spinoff.

Upon the announcement of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the animated series was confirmed for a minimum of 2 seasons, and it was also revealed that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, both of whom were heavily involved in the production of Mutant Mayhem, would also be returning to produce the series. The general idea for the series is that it fills the void between the Mutant Mayhem releases, showcasing the Turtles as they learn the ropes to become bonafide heroes.

While there is no specific release date as of yet for Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the animated series is slated to come sometime in the summer of 2024. According to the official description of the series from Paramount+, the series will challenge the Turtles like never before, as Leo, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey each go at it alone for the first time.
