Young Sheldon Season 7 Reveals The Real Reason For Georgie & Mandy’s TBBT Split

Young Sheldon Season 7 Reveals The Real Reason For Georgie & Mandy’s TBBT Split

Warning! Spoilers ahead for Young Sheldon season 7, episode 8.

The reason for Georgie and Mandy’s split in the future is revealed in Young Sheldon season 7. Georgie and Mandy have been the primary love line in the prequel since they started their whirlwind romance in season 5. It hasn’t been easy for the couple to navigate a few hurdles, primarily their age gap and unexpected pregnancy with Baby Cece. Thanks to the Coopers’ help, however, Georgie and Mandy are now in a much better place, which is such a relief, since their story will continue via their own Young Sheldon spinoff sequel tackling their life together.

Georgie and Mandy spearheading a sequel series makes sense, considering that The Big Bang Theory revealed almost nothing about them. Mandy and Baby Cece were never properly mentioned, let alone appeared in the nerd-centric sitcom. This allows the creatives behind the new Young Sheldon expansion to show the creative room to craft their story in the way that’s best for their project. While the specifics of their story moving forward have yet to be written, they have a pre-determined ending, however, and unfortunately, that’s the pair eventually divorcing. Ahead of their show, Young Sheldon season 7 sets up their split.

Young Sheldon Season 7 Reveals The Real Reason For Georgie & Mandy’s TBBT Split

In Young Sheldon season 7, episode 8, “An Ankle Monitor and a Big Plastic Crap House,” Sheldon attempts to help Meemaw, all while Georgie and Mandy move out of the Coopers’ house because of bathroom problems. The couple and Baby Cece transfer to the McAllisters. While Audrey is thrilled to have her daughter and granddaughter around, she makes it clear that she isn’t happy with Georgie living with them. This is despite Sheldon’s brother trying everything to appease her. Audrey is still convinced that the Cooper firstborn ruined Mandy’s wife and vows to make her realize that he is bad.

For now, Mandy is on Georgie’s side. She defends her husband against her mother, knowing full well that Audrey is not fond of him and also realizing that Georgie is too sweet to be vengeful about it. That being said, the McAllister matriarch could find a way to pit the couple against each other, which could lead to their separation. It could be through consciously making Georgie and Mandy’s conflicts worse or even manufacturing problems to drive them apart. This would be fairly easy for Audrey to do since Baby Cece’s parents live with her and Jim.

Will Audrey Appear In Georgie and Mandy’s Young Sheldon Sequel Show

Georgie’s Family Won’t Be In The Young Sheldon Sequel Series.

None of the Coopers will be series regulars in Georgie and Mandy’s show, hence why Young Sheldon is already laying the groundwork for Missy’s tragic The Big Bang Theory future. That said, with the pair’s move to the McAllisters, it’s curious if Jim and Audrey would be in it. One clue that Mandy’s parents will be part of the Young Sheldon offshoot is how their business will likely pave the way for Georgie to become the successful owner of Dr. Tire. Previously, Jim already offered Georgie a job at their tire shop, which could be the beginning of this journey for him.
