Star Wars Theory Reveals Ahsoka Set Up The Most Dangerous Force Monster

A new Star Wars theory suggests that Ahsoka may have set up the live-action debut of the galaxy’s most dangerous Force monsters. As seen in the new Star Wars show, Ahsoka ventures beyond the confines of the known galaxy to a brand-new one. As such, new insights are teasing that predators from the High Republic Era may have originated from outside the known Star Wars galaxy as well.

In Ahsoka, the titular Jedi hero played by Rosario Dawson is joined by her Mandalorian apprentice Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) in their attempt to prevent the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn while also trying to save Jedi Knight Ezra Bridger. Both the former Imperial leader and missing Jedi were lost in the wake of the series finale of Star Wars Rebels, though a way to reach them both was discovered in Ahsoka with the reveal that they’d been sent to the extragalactic world known as Peridea. As such, new origin reveals for the High Republic Force predators known as the Nameless could connect to another galaxy as well.

The Nameless Are The Most Dangerous Force Predators In Star Wars

Star Wars Theory Reveals Ahsoka Set Up The Most Dangerous Force Monster

Known in ancient times as Shrii Ka Rai or “Eaters of the Force”, the Nameless were powerful Force-attuned predators who could easily kill even the most capable Jedi Knights. Controlled by the Nihil marauders during the High Republic Era, the Nameless brought about the fall of the Jedi’s Starlight Beacon, the dark conclusion of the High Republic’s first phase of novels and comics. Feeding on the Force itself, the Nameless can completely paralyze a Jedi with overwhelming terror combined with dark visions. As such, a Nameless will feed on a Jedi’s Force energy until they become nothing more than a crumbling petrified husk.

Thanks to NYCC’s Lucasfilm Publishing panel and a new preview page from The High Republic Character Encyclopedia, there have been new reveals regarding the Nameless’ powers and origins prior to their dark roles during the High Republic era. Firstly, the character bio suggests that the Nameless’ abilities are perhaps legitimate Force powers that could be learned by dark-side users. However, it also teases where the Nameless might have come from prior to being used by both the Nihil and the preceding Force cult known as the Path of the Open Hand.

The Nameless’ Origin Has Become Even More Mysterious

According to this new character page for the Nameless, it’s been rumored that the Shrii Ka Rai seemingly came from a world located in the deep reaches of Wild Space. Unlike the Unknown Regions of the Star Wars galaxy which is somewhat mapped yet largely unexplored, Wild Space was both unmapped and unexplored, existing beyond the edges of the galaxy’s Outer Rim. Considering how mysterious the Nameless are along with their history, this does make sense seeing as how the Nihil’s leader Marchion Ro did indeed recov several of the creatures on a planet located within Wild Space.

However, it’s important to stress that the Nameless’ homeworld being in Wild Space is simply regarded as a rumor, likely based on the fact that that’s where they were found by the Nihil during the High Republic Era. As such, their incredibly unique powers and connection to the Force could be hinting at even greater origins. This is where Ahsoka and its introduction of an extragalactic planet come into play with an intriguing theory.

Could The Nameless Originate From Another Galaxy?

It was originally theorized that Nightsisters originated from another galaxy considering how unique the dark magicks of the Force witches were compared to everything else seen in the known Star Wars galaxy. This idea was very much proven true thanks to Ahsoka with the confirmation that the Nightsisters’ original home before Dathomir was indeed Peridea in an entirely separate galaxy. It’s possible that the same could be true for the Nameless. After all, it was widely believed and speculated that Thrawn and Ezra were trapped somewhere in Wild Space or the Unknown Regions before Ahsoka revealed they’d traveled even further to another galaxy.

Just like the Nightsisters, the abilities of the Nameless are remarkably unusual and unlike anything seen in Star Wars before. Perhaps the Force predators also came from another galaxy before they somehow migrated to the known galaxy during the High Republic Era. The rumors about their origins in Wild Space would still make sense, it’s just that they once lived even further than ever thought possible, an idea clearly established thanks to Ahsoka. Keeping that in mind, perhaps the Nameless are being set up for their live-action debut in the near future.
