OdinLake Ergo Butterfly 753 Review – Great Support For Different Body Types

OdinLake Ergo Butterfly 753 Review – Great Support For Different Body Types

Those who sit at a desk all day know how important a comfortable chair is, and the OdinLake Ergo Butterfly 753 is one of the latest in adjustable high-end ergonomic options. One of the toughest parts about finding the perfect office or gaming chair is the fact that everyone’s body is different, but most chairs are pretty static in their functionality. This issue can lead to a pretty large disparity of opinions when it comes to evaluating desk chairs, as what might be great for one person isn’t often good for another. This is an issue that OdinLake is looking to change with their Ergo Butterfly 753.

The OdinLake Ergo Butterfly accomplishes what other chairs can’t with its high level of adjustability and variability. Made of high-quality, durable materials, the mesh chair excels by adjusting to the owner’s individual body type with a host of built-in functions that one can adjust to their preferences. Throughout my time with the chair, it’s proven to be one of the better options on the market, even if some of the chair’s functions took some getting used to.

Super Easy To Put Together

Only Five Main Pieces

Upon receiving the OdinLake Ergo Butterfly 753, the first thing people will likely notice is the overall weight of the chair. Coming in at around 75 pounds, the chair runs on the heavier side and is made with a durable aluminum alloy chassis. After unboxing the chair, however, one will notice how easy it is to put it together, with just five main parts, excluding the wheels and bolts.

The hardest part of building the Ergo Butterfly was getting the large box up a narrow staircase. Attaching the backrest to the seat could also serve as a stumbling block, as it’s necessary to get under the chair while propping it up, but otherwise, putting together the chair was incredibly easy. In addition, OdinLake also includes all the necessary tools and a handy pair of heavy-duty gloves, which is a nice touch. While I was able to accomplish the build alone, it might be easier to get another person to help set it up, depending on the situation.

The Ergo Butterfly Is Fashion Meets Function

Adjust Everything

Ergo-Butterfly-3

The Ergo Butterfly 753 excels in its main purpose — to provide a stylish ergonomic option for people who have to sit most of the day. It accomplishes its goal by providing a wide range of adjustments and variability to virtually every facet of the chair. This ability to adjust is important, as people’s experience with desk chairs often comes down to personal preference and body type.

Virtually everything can be adjusted on the Ergo Butterfly. The headrest can be tilted, the seat can be slid forward or raised, the backrest can be raised or lowered to accommodate specific heights, and each armrest can be shifted to a person’s desired angle. Importantly, the chair can be tilted back and locked in several positions with an adjustment that shifts the tilt elasticity. This locking mechanism is great for those who prefer to stay upright rather than lean back in their chairs throughout the day.

While the style of the chair will come down to personal preference, OdinLake strikes a nice balance between flashiness and professionalism. From the front, the chair looks like other high-end mesh options, but from the back, contoured chrome supports make the chair look futuristic and well-suited in any gaming room without looking overly hokey or childish.

OdinLake Ergo Butterfly 753’s Best Features

Great All-Around Body Support

When speaking of OdinLake’s Ergo Butterfly’s meshed seats and backrest, most people will probably make some association with Herman Miller-style ergonomic chairs, and they wouldn’t be wrong in doing so. Both companies offer quality products, but OdinLake surprised me with the chair’s quality. One of the things that really stood out was just how high-quality the wheels of the chair were. OdinLake opted for a strong plastic that feels more like skateboard wheels than wheels for a desk chair, which is a good thing as rolling around in the chair is a breeze.

Upon first impression, the most distinct part of the chair will likely be the lumbar support. To support the lower back, OdinLake has developed their “Livemotion Lumbar Auto-tracking System,” which equates to a separate piece connected to the backrest that moves regardless of how the seat is positioned. Admittedly, this part of the chair took some getting used to at first, but once the backrest was positioned at the right height, it provided more lumbar support than many other chairs I’ve used in the past.

Lastly, though it comes down to personal preference, mesh chairs are great for being easy to clean and for their breathability — making it comfortable to sit even if it’s hot. The mesh is highly resistant and has a maximum weight capacity of 350 pounds.

OdinLake Ergo Butterfly Is A Great High-End Option

Competes With Others At Its Price Point

Though the $999 price point for the Ergo Butterfly may be out of some people’s budgets, owners are getting what they pay for with the chair. The high level of adjustment makes it a good option regardless of height or weight, something that static chairs without enhanced adjustment options can’t provide. When OdinLake says ergonomic, they really mean it with this model, as it could help people with atypical body types who have struggled to find an option with enough variability to suit their unique needs.
