The Monsterverse is entering a new era in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire images. The upcoming monster movie acts as a sequel to 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, this time seeing the titular Titans discovering a colossal threat lurking in the mysterious Hollow Earth and striving to put a stop to it and claim dominance over the world.
Ahead of the movie’s CCXP panel, in which the first trailer is expected to release, IGN has released new Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire images. The photos, as seen above, highlight the return of the eponymous Monsterverse Titans, with Kong in particular wielding the glowing axe he acquired in Godzilla vs. Kong, and human characters Ilene and Lia donning unique new looks for the sequel.
