The most recent news on Bluey season 4 arrived in July 2024, and it was a relief, to say the least. Rumors had been circulating that Bluey was ending after season 3. Thankfully, producer Dale Pearson spoke to Australian newspaper The Courier to put the gossip to bed, confirming that Bluey season 4 is on the way. “There will definitely be more Bluey,” Pearson was quick to reassure readers, though explained that they weren’t going to rush, “we have all secretly agreed with each other that we wouldn’t keep making Bluey if it wasn’t as good as the one that came before, so we want to make sure we keep doing that.”
While this update on Bluey season 4 is incredibly positive, it also came with a caveat. As explained by Pearson, the Bluey writing team is taking a break after the third season. “We are just going to get our heads on a bit, it’s been four or five years and we’ve made 154 episodes, it is kind of unprecedented to do that back-to-back,” he said, “it was very intense … we are just coming to the end of season three and trying to think about what’s the best way to make it better.”

This means that David McCormack (Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake) will be back as Bandit, Bluey and Bingo’s Dad. Chilli, A.K.A Mum, will be voiced once again by Melanie Zanetti (Raven’s Hollow). The actors voicing the children in Bluey are deliberately kept secret, though it’s expected they’ll reprise their roles.
The Bluey cast has included many notable guests so far. Robert Irwin, son of Steve Irwin, voiced Alfie the dingo store clerk assistant, for example.
