Damian Wayne’s Robin has fought with some of the greatest and deadliest rogues Gotham City has to offer, with the Court of Owls being a secretive cabal of enemies that Damian and his father have consistently had the toughest time taking down. Now, in a new cosplay design, Damian has fallen to his more villainous tendencies and has become the latest member of the Court of Owls, promising death and dismemberment to any who oppose him.

A new cosplay image recently uploaded to Instagram by All-Star Cosplay (@all_starcosplay), this cosplay team is all about creating and wearing homemade designs featuring the Dynamic Duo of Batman and Robin, along with a few other choice characters from DC and Marvel Comics.

Having already dressed in a few different iterations of Damian Wayne’s suit in the past, All-Star Cosplay has brought to life Damian’s current red, gray, and black costume, his traditional red, green, yellow, and black Robin attire, and even a Christmas-themed take on his outfit, giving fans live-action looks that impress every time.

One of the most brutal Boy Wonders since Jason Todd, the smartest since Tim Drake, and the most dedicated since Dick Grayson, Damian Wayne has proven himself a worthy addition to Batman’s extended Bat-Family and has become an integral part of the larger tapestry of the DC Universe. Meanwhile, the Court of Owls is a centuries-old clandestine cult of powerful and rich individuals who run Gotham from the shadows. Fighting against the Court multiple times during his tenure as Robin, Damian also briefly joined them in the 2015 Robin War event in a misguided attempt to save his city.

Cosplaying in a Robin suit that perfectly adapts Damian’s current set of superhero spandex, All-Star Cosplay is photographed holding one of Damian’s signature katana blades at the ready, selling Damian’s more violent nature in a way that does his character justice and reminding fans of his ruthlessness. Wearing an all-white Court of Owls mask that looks identical to its comic counterpart, All-Star Cosplay succeeds in making Court of Owls Damian seem even more cold, distant, and emotionless than usual, showing just how disturbing and dark a true descent into villainy could be for this Bat-Family hero.

Technically wearing his old Robin uniform in the Robin War event while he was temporarily under the Court’s influence, getting to see an updated version of this “evil” Damian in his latest comic suit is not only an inspiring way to keep this iteration of the character feeling fresh, but is a cosplay community-exclusive design that can’t be seen anywhere else. Damian Wayne’s Robin always seems to teeter on the edge of being a hero and being something far worse, with the Court of Owls currently holding sway over him only in the cosplay space… at least for now.
