Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – 10 Rarest Enemies & Where To Find Them

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – 10 Rarest Enemies & Where To Find Them

There are several familiar and unique enemies scattered over The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. From The Depths to the Sky Islands, it can be hard to track them all down with some being especially difficult to find either because they are rare or only native to one very specific area.

While players shouldn’t have an issue finding a majority of the enemies available in Zelda: TOTK, when looking to acquire a specific material that one may drop, such as a powerful Gidbo bone, it’s nice to know where exactly Link can track them down. Many of these enemies, despite how rare, usually have several spawn points even if they are hard to locate.

10 Armored Gloom Lynel

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – 10 Rarest Enemies & Where To Find Them

One of the enemies that players are bound to become familiar with is the Lynel. Though not new to this game, there is a form of him that is, which is the Armored Gloom variant. As players would expect, this is a very beefy Lynel that is Gloom afflicted meaning he will only be found in The Depths.

Though there are a couple, Link can specifically find one around the coordinates 0542, -3466, -0499. Be sure to go into this fight prepared, potentially wearing Zelda: TOTK‘s Tunic of the Depths for additional Gloom resistance.

9 Molduga

Molduga enemy in Zelda TOTK

Molduga is mainly rare in the sense that only a couple of her exist due to the fact that she has very specific environmental requirements only met by the Gerudo Desert, so this is the only place players will find her. This sand whale enemy is hard to notice at first due to the fact that Molduga is usually buried until Link approaches, but one can be found around the coordinates -4777, -2809, 0027.

8 King Gleeok

King Gleeok in Zelda TOTK

King Gleeok is one of the most difficult enemies in the game, so it seems fitting that it is also one of the hardest to locate. This enemy is unfortunately only going to be found in extremely high locations, outside its one known appearance in The Depths.

For those looking to venture into The Depths and deal with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s Gloom, one can be found near the coordinates 0141, 3127, -0622. However, for players wanting to push their limits in the sky, one of the few King Gleeoks can be found on an island at -4447, -2730, 1419.

7 Stalnox

Link getting ready to fight a Stalnox mini-boss in Zelda: TOTK

The Stalnox is a skeletal cyclops enemy that is generally going to be found in The Depths, but players can actually find two right next to each other. Head out to Skull Lake in the Eldin region, which will literally resemble a skull when viewing the map. The two eyes of this lake will each be an entrance to an area.

The left will be an entrance to an arena in The Depths where a Stalnox can be battled for a legendary Zelda: TOTK weapon, Biggoron’s Sword. The right will be an entrance to a cave where another Stalnox can be battled for a piece of Armor.

6 Silver Lizalfos

Silver Lizalfos enemy in Zelda TOTK

The Lizalfos are not rare enemies by any means, but the Silver variant is. In order to have this version of the Lizalfos appear, Link will have to work his way through several of these enemies in order to get the stronger ones to spawn. However, for those that are against waiting, Silver variants can usually be found near Hyrule Castle, even early on.

One specific location for this enemy is deep below Hyrule Castle at the coordinates -0237, 0628, -1222 which is pretty far down, but for those looking to grab the Scythe-like horn of this enemy, it may be worth it.

5 Yiga Blademaster

Yiga Blademaster enemy in Zelda TOTK

As with in Zelda: BOTW plenty of Yiga enemies will be found throughout Hyrule, but there is one version that is a little beefier than its weaker companions. In order to fight the Yiga Blademaster, Link will need to navigate The Depths so that he can rise up into the Yiga Clan Hideout.

When doing so, he will be forced to face off against one of these enemies with more to come later. Be sure to grab part of the Yiga armor and come back with the full set which can help Link blend in and sneak around the Yiga hideout undetected.

4 Moth Gibdo

Nest spawning Moth Gibdo in Zelda TOTK

The Gibdo are a mummified enemy with one main variant, Moth Gibdo. These are almost the same thing as the regular Gibdo aside from the fact that they have wings that allow to be airborne. Similar to Molduga, these enemies are rare mainly because they can only be found in one region of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s map, the Gerudo Region.

They typically will spawn from nests and Link can encounter them when working through Riju’s quest. Specifically, a nest that spawns them will be encountered around the coordinates 3887, -2847, 0049.

3 Soldier Construct III

Soilder Construct III in Zelda TOTK

The Soldier Constructs are some of the first enemies Link will encounter in Zelda: TOTK. With the Constructs, each increased level of them will reward Link with a stronger horn piece when defeated that can be used in Zelda: TOTK to fuse with weapons, which is why the higher level Constructs are more difficult to find.

However, Link should look to the Sky Islands when beginning to track them down, some can specifically be found in the Lanayru Sky Archipelago as well as the Thunderhead Isles.

2 Silver Moblin

Silver Moblin in Zelda TOTK

As with all of the other Silver variants of common enemies, Silver Moblins will begin spawning once several of the other three variants of Moblin have been defeated. However, there are certain areas that can be accessed early in the game that will still contain these stronger variants.

The main of which is Hyrule Castle. Since this is where most of the end-game fights will occur, like Zelda: TOTK’s Phantom Ganon, many of the enemies around the Castle are at higher levels by default, regardless of Links progress.

1 Flux Construct III

Flux Construct III enemy in Zelda TOTK

The Flux Constructs are the first type of boss Link will encounter. A Flux Construct I can be encountered during the tutorial when Link completes the Great Sky Island Shrines in Zelda: TOTK. The more difficult version, Flux Construct III is a more rare type of this enemy with even better rewards.

It will only be found on Sky Islands and one can specifically be tracked down to the coordinates 3060, 2275, 1201. Be sure to have one of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zonai weapon bases ready as the Flux Core pieces can be Fused to weapons, but they cannot be picked up, so they have to be fused to whatever Link has on him at the moment.
