Young Sheldon‘s Cooper kids have grown so much, as highlighted in a new season 7 image. The Big Bang Theory franchise is ending its run on CBS with a send-off to Sheldon and his family. Despite its shortened year due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Young Sheldon season 7 will wrap up the prequel with just 14 episodes, which will primarily focus on the show’s core characters.

What To Expect From The Cooper Kids In Young Sheldon Season 7

Many of the storylines in Young Sheldon season 7 have already been set up in season 6, and several will revolve around Mary and George’s kids. Georgie’s final story will likely be about his impending marriage to Mandy while navigating his way as a young father. It’s uncertain if the show will give the couple a happy ending, considering they will eventually break up per The Big Bang Theory canon. Still, since it’s arguably one of the best original narratives from Young Sheldon, it’s imperative that the prequel doesn’t gloss over their narrative.

Elsewhere, Sheldon’s return to Medford after spending the summer in Germany will be an interesting moment for the family. When he comes back, he will start his final year in college, which will mark the beginning of the end of the spin-off. It’s likely that towards the final stretch of the family comedy, he will finish his stint at East Texas Tech and will gear up for his move to Pasadena, California, as he begins his post-grad studies at Caltech. Finally, Missy’s redemption arc is expected, especially after her tearful apology to George in the Young Sheldon season 6 finale.
