Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Best Things to Do After Beating The Game

Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Best Things to Do After Beating The Game

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the third entry in the JRPG franchise by Monolith Soft, and multiple activities can keep players occupied following their completion of the main storyline content. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 features a unique storyline and characters while calling back to some of the events that took place in the first and second games. Just completing the main story can potentially take more than 70 hours to complete, and there is nearly as much content for players to experience after they beat Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

For those who want to beat the story of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 with 100% completion, the amount of time it will take to finish everything is substantially longer than just trying to experience the entire narrative. During the initial playthrough of the game, players will be driven toward the story-focused content while having the ability to complete side quests, collect rare items, defeat the numerous beasts across every map, and much more. Players will likely be able to complete Xenoblade Chronicles 3 100% in approximately 150 hours or more.

A handful of activities are unlocked after players finish the base game’s story, and the depth of the endgame content varies. For example, Swordfighters can change the appearance of their weapon to the Monado via the fashion menu by selecting a new attachment. The Monado is the weapon of the protagonist character from Xenoblade Chronicles 1, and its design is recognizable by an even larger fan base thanks to Shulk’s inclusion in the Super Smash Bros series. Furthermore, players can also change the accessories of Heroes after beating the game and adjust their level at various Rest Spots. Lowering a character’s level will allow them to earn Bonus XP, and more experience points are rewarded for the increase in level difference.

After beating Xenoblade Chronicles 3, players can unlock two additional Heroes, Melia and Nia. Go to the “?” icon in Main Castle Gate on the first floor to trigger an event that will unlock Melia. Likewise, head to the “?” icon in the Hall of Serene to trigger an event that will unlock Nia. Following their respective events, players can recruit these Heroes in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Lastly, New Game+ is unlocked after beating the game, wherein players can start from the beginning of the story while each of their characters retains their currently earned level. Some items will be temporarily disabled until those parts of the story have been reached again. Before beginning a New Game+, players should consider leveling up further and unlocking the remaining Heroes in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is available on Nintendo Switch.
