Xbox Game Pass Adds Banjo-Kazooie, Overcooked 2, & More For Android

Microsoft has added six new additions to Xbox Game Pass‘ functionality on Android devices, including Banjo-Kazooie, Overcooked 2, and the demolition derby-themed Wreckfest. Xbox recently expanded its cloud-based initiative by allowing Android users to access select original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles through Game Pass Ultimate. Impressively, the number of Game Pass experiences accessible on Android devices now totals more than 50.

These cloud-enabled titles are no joke, either. As of now, major releases such as Gears 5, Grand Theft Auto V, Minecraft Dungeons, and Sea of Thieves have received touch control features in recent weeks. This all works to further emphasize Microsoft’s commitment to compatibility, a commitment the company hopes will help it reach every one of the world’s estimated three billion gamers. It’s an incredibly ambitious goal, sure, but the Xbox division’s expansion into the mobile space is laying the groundwork for limitless possibilities in terms of reach.

Earlier today, the Xbox Game Pass Twitter account shared six new cloud-enabled titles that Game Pass Ultimate members can now jump into on their Android devices. The service’s latest additions include the aforementioned platformer Banjo-Kazooie, co-op cooking simulation Overcooked 2, and racing title Wreckfest. In addition, Android users can explore arcade adventure Killer Queen Black, 2012 beat ’em up Double Dragon Neon, and Airship Syndicate’s turn-based RPG – Battle Chasers: Nightwar.

These additions act as but another example of the value Xbox Game Pass inherently offers its millions of members. The last year has seen Microsoft add incredible value to the ever-growing service; in the past few months, for instance, Electronic Arts and Microsoft managed to bundle EA Play with Game Pass for both console and PC users. Not to mention a treasure trove of Bethesda-published titles are now available on the platform, including heavy-hitters like DOOM Eternal, Fallout: New Vegas, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Bigger third-party releases are launching day-and-date on Game Pass, too. While Outriders represents the most notable example of late, MLB The Show 21 counts as yet another big get, especially considering its status as a PlayStation Studios-developed project.

Xbox Game Pass‘ growth also extends beyond the remarkable value proposition. Players across multiple platforms seem enthralled by the service’s myriad offerings as well, evidenced by the 18 million members Game Pass had accumulated as of this past January.
