The conflict between Wolverine and Sabretooth is long and storied, but the Sabretooth War is taking it to new heights. Different incarnations of Victor are working together to satisfy their bloodlust and need for vengeance, and they’re directing it out on all those close to Logan. Laura Kinney will soon make her own stand against “Savage Sabretooth” – officially entering the battle anyone wearing the Wolverine name eventually faces.
Wolverine #47 is a continuation of the gory Sabretooth War, this time pairing off Savage Sabretooth and Laura. Logan has already lost two people incredibly important to him – his son, Akihiro, and Kid Omega – to grisly ends. They were caught off-guard, and it’s unlikely that Laura will meet the same fate.

Even if she goes in fully prepared, it won’t be an easy fight. The conflict has already been startlingly violent, and Wolverine #47 promises to run with that concept. Laura Kinney may find out exactly how the “Savage Sabretooth” variant earned that name.
Sabretooth Will Put Wolverine’s Daughter To The Ultimate Test
Laura Kinney is no ordinary person. Not only is she Logan’s clone and the current Wolverine, she was created and trained as a weapon before spending years of her life learning from the X-Men, X-Force, and some of the most talented and strategic minds of the Marvel Universe. Logan has made it clear that he considers her his replacement in the event of his death, and places a great deal of trust in her. To survive the Sabretooth War, Laura will need to tap into everything she has, along with the fierce, primal rage that Wolverine and Sabretooth both share.
The combination of a cool head and a fast claw could be the key to her victory, or at least the key to her survival. Akihiro and Kid Omega, who became the war’s first casualties, were hardly weaklings. But they had little chance to fight back and defend themselves, while Leinil Francis Yu’s stunning cover shows Laura and Savage Sabretooth directly facing off. If Kinney gets a real chance to fight back, she has the skill it’ll take to walk away, but it’s unlikely Sabretooth will give up the pursuit easily.
The Sabretooth War Could Take Everything From Wolverine
The true danger of the Sabretooth War is that it’s no normal fight. It’s a revenge plot years in the making, and Victor Creed has pulled together an army of variants to strip Logan of everything and everyone he loves. Even if Laura wins the fight against Savage Sabretooth and walks away, it won’t end anything, and may only buy her another day. Creed will settle for nothing less than completely dismantling Logan’s life. Wolverine and his family are facing one of the hardest fights of their lives as they face Sabretooth, and it will end bloody.
