Wish Debuts On Rotten Tomatoes With Disney’s Worst Score In 18 Years

Wish has received Disney’s worst Rotten Tomatoes score in nearly two decades. The upcoming movie is the 62nd feature released by Walt Disney Animation Studios and the only one to be released during the company’s centennial celebration in 2023. The company’s iconic wishing star is a character in the movie, descending to the kingdom of Rosas when teenager Asha (Ariana DeBose) makes a wish to save the land from impending doom.

Rotten Tomatoes has now aggregated an official score for Disney’s Wish from 55 different critics’ reviews. While the score will fluctuate as more reviews are added in the days leading up to the movie’s theatrical premiere, at the time of writing it is Rotten at 58%. This marks the first time that any Walt Disney Animation Studios movie has received a Rotten score since 2005’s Chicken Little, which has 37%.
