Winnie-The-Pooh Blood And Honey 2 First Image Confirms Recasting Of Christopher Robin

A first look at Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 has arrived, confirming the recasting of a central character. Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey’s first horror retelling of the classic children’s tale was released earlier this year after significant hype online. Though met with atrocious reviews, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey has gained a significant cult following, and a sequel was announced in January before the first movie had hit wider release.

The Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey official Twitter account has released the first look image from Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2. Posted alongside an announcement that the horror movie is now shooting, the official first look is a photo taken of a camera’s LCD screen. Referencing Christopher Robin, the photo showed a young man looking terrified. Check out the image below:

This image caused some confusion, as the actor shown in the tweet did not resemble the one who played Christopher Robin in the original Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey. That actor was Nikolai Leon, whose acting credits are slim. Before Blood and Honey, Leon had only acted in one other feature film, The Killing Tree.

To clear up any confusion, the page later posted to clarify that “This is Christopher Robin.” They promised that “all will be revealed” come the release of more information about Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey.

Finally, the recasting of Christopher Robin was re-confirmed a second time.

Will Winne-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey Live Up To Its Hype?

Winnie-The-Pooh Blood And Honey 2 First Image Confirms Recasting Of Christopher Robin

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 has significant shoes to fill to follow up the craze behind the original movie. The production has promised that the sequel will lean further into the violence than Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, which already shocked viewers with the level of gore surrounding beloved childhood characters, such as Pooh and Piglet. Blood and Honey director Rhys Frake-Waterfield has even promised that the film will match the level of gore of last year’s micro-budget slasher hit Terrifier 2.

The recasting of Christopher Robin is curious as Winne-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 begins shooting. Though a recast would usually be chalked up to contractual or other reasons, the tweets seem to suggest that there is some intention, which will be “revealed’ when the sequel drops. More will likely be revealed in the coming months as Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 continues production.
