Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater were partnered for Dancing With The Stars season 31, and they were a perfect match. Trevor is a film and television actor best known for starring in the 2008 reboot of 90210. This season, he had some tough competition as he went up against seasoned dancers like Charli D’Amelio and Gabby Windey. He and Emma had pretty average scores throughout the season but during Halloween night impressed judges with their Contemporary routine earning three 10s and one 9. They landed at the bottom three times and were eliminated on Semi-Finals night.
Before their elimination, fans loved watching the two on DWTS because they had the strongest connection of the season. It’s not unusual for DWTS contestants to get close to their professional partners. They spend hours a week together, perfecting their routines and getting to know each other on an intimate level. Gabby and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy have also been praised for their strong bond. However, nothing could compare to what Trevor and Emma brought to the show. While Charli, Gabby, and Wayne Brady came onto the show with dance experience, Trevor had none. DWTS judges pointed out that by the time he left the show, he had improved tremendously since premiere night. According to Emma and Trevor’s post-elimination Instagram posts, they believe this was the case for them. Their chemistry on the dance floor was undeniable, and their personalities worked so well. Emma is very outgoing, silly, and encouraging on the show, while Trevor is more laid back and reserved, and they balanced each other out perfectly. The two could not have had a better 90s night song than Aqua’s “Barbie Girl,” as they look like Barbie and Ken, and DWTS fans are rooting for them to be together like the famous dolls are.
This was a rough year for the DWTS pro as she announced in August that she and her husband, fellow DWTS pro Sasha Farber, were splitting up after 4 years of marriage. Having Trevor as her rock throughout the season definitely made it easier for her to get through. DWTS is an emotionally and physically draining show, to begin with, and things would have been a lot harder if she didn’t have such an incredible partner who was such a great match for her.

Nikki Bella was partnered with Artem Chigvintsev for DWTS season 25, and she ended up calling off her engagement to John Cena and later married her former dance partner. Some fans think Emma and Trevor could be dating or might be in the future, and it’s no surprise they think this. The two look and act like the perfect couple, and it wouldn’t be surprising to anyone if they soon announce they are together. However, as of now, Emma and Trevor are just friends, but their irreplaceable bond will not be forgotten by DWTS fans.
