The full trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine was just released online, and it wasted no time planting Deadpool firmly in the MCU. Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool is seen coming into immediate conflict with the TVA from Loki. Although the TVA might seem like a strange antagonist for Deadpool to be going up against, it does make a lot of sense given Deadpool’s previous antics of messing with timelines.
Deadpool 2 revolved heavily around time travel, and Deadpool did quite a few things that would have landed him on the TVA’s radar. Though it seems like the TVA might be interested in recruiting Deadpool, the trailer would suggest that things don’t work out so well.
Deadpool Is The TVA’s New Hunter
Near the beginning of the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, Deadpool is seen being courted to join the TVA with the promise of becoming an MCU hero. Deadpool initially seems interested in the offer, but it quickly becomes apparent that him and the TVA won’t see eye to eye. Clips of Deadpool brutally murdering TVA agents would suggest that he won’t be a loyal hunter for very long, and he may even be looking to team up with variants from across the multiverse.
