Jen’s sentencing revealed a lot more than just her shady business practices that pulled money from unsuspecting victims as part of a nationwide telemarketing scam. During the sentencing, prosecutors hoped to have a 2019 restraining order against Jen considered in the prosecution. The filing came from an anonymous woman who accused Jen of having an affair with her husband.
Ahead of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Jen Shah’s sentencing date, prosecutors filed to have the restraining order considered in court. Federal prosecutors say the woman reached out to them, and they hoped to have the judge review how the woman described her interaction with Jen. Prosecutors wanted the restraining order mentioned as a way to shed light on how Jen allegedly interacted with others. Feds believed the retraining order supported their claims on Jen’s character in an effort to seek a harsher sentence. Jen’s legal team denied the woman’s claims saying there is proof the woman retracted her allegations in an email four days after filing the restraining order. In the end, Jen was sentenced to over six years in prison, plus five years of supervised release.
A Woman Filed A Restraining Order Against Jen Shah
While the restraining order played no part in Jen’s sentencing, the reveal did cause speculation about whether or not Jen cheated on her husband, Coach Shah. Reddit user u/Danizada shared screenshots of the woman’s three-page restraining order that claims there is “video evidence” of Jen’s alleged actions. After reviewing the restraining order, fans were convinced Jen might’ve cheated on her husband with a married man. “I believe every word. this is so on brand for jen,” one Redditor wrote. Others wondered if Coach knew “that Jen Shah was having an affair” and even asked if “her kids” knew about the claims and still stuck by her. Another speculated if the cheating claims played a part in the rough patch during their marriage when Jen revealed Coach met with a divorce attorney.
The Woman’s Husband Allegedly Left With Jen
According to the filing, Jen, who won’t interview with Andy Cohen, showed up at the woman’s house in the wee hours of the morning unannounced after the woman sent Sharrieff screenshots of the flirty text messages between Jen and the woman’s husband. She claims Jen continued to send threatening messages, shouted outside her home, and threatened to kill her. She also claims Jen left with her husband after the woman refused to comply with his request to go outside and talk to Jen. The Bravo star allegedly called the woman a “wh**e” and threatened to file harassment charges against her despite driving six hours from Salt Lake City to Nevada to confront the woman. The husband even allegedly left the wife to go with Jen on the night of the encounter.
The restraining order shuts down Jen’s claims of only acting dramatically on television and not in real life. Between the retraining order and the leaked audio that’s come out revealing Jen’s angry outburst against people, it’s tough to think she only acts out when the cameras are rolling. After being sentenced to six years, Jen partied the night away, enjoying a lavish dinner at a pricey restaurant in New York City. RHOSLC Jen’s participation in the show will likely be non-existent now that she has to serve time in prison, so viewers may never find out the truth about Jen’s cheating.
