Phoebe Siegel convinced Isaiah Campbell to forget about Sydney Paight and take her back to the villa after Casa Amor, but the Love Island USA bombshell might not have ever had intentions of continuing a relationship with him. Isaiah and Sydney were in a good place pre-Casa after the islander disregarded his attraction to Nadjha Day and decided his connection with Sydney was strong enough to recouple with her instead. However, shortly after, the male contestants escaped to Casa Amor, where Phoebe persuaded Isaiah to give her a chance and take her back to the villa. Unsurprisingly, this took an emotional toll on Sydney.
Ever since then, fans have not had many positive reactions to Phoebe. They’ve deemed her a mean girl and feel that she disregards other islanders’ feelings in order to get what she wants. While at Casa Amor, she and some other female islanders began chanting, “Sydney who?” to express how eager they were to make Isaiah forget about his former partner and choose one of the bombshells instead. Fans found this behavior incredibly disrespectful. They also called out Phoebe for trying to convince Isaiah that she’s better than Sydney, but later claiming to be a girls’ girl and exposing Isaiah’s actions to Sydney without owning up to her own disrespectful behavior.
While Phoebe seemed excited to return to the villa with Isaiah, there’s a chance she may not have ever been interested in being in a relationship with him. Fans have been questioning Phoebe’s intentions ever since she joined the show, and while she claims she’s at the villa to find love, fans’ suspicions may be correct. After Isaiah went crawling back to Sydney, Phoebe didn’t waste a second pulling Chazz Bryant over for a chat, even though he was coupled up with her best friend at the villa, Bella Barbaro. At the same time, she started to get to know new bombshell Joel Bierwert, who she’s currently coupled up with. After going for Chazz and Joel, Phoebe made her move on Chad Robinson. While there’s nothing wrong with moving on from someone who wasn’t treating you right, Phoebe’s actions tend to come off as calculated.
While Chad’s currently coupled up with Mackenzie Dipman, that hasn’t stopped Phoebe from deepening their connection and even making out with him behind Mackenzie’s back during the villa’s 80s party. Jumping from person to person isn’t unusual on Love Island USA, but it’s hard to ignore that there’s a big cash prize at the end of the show for the winning couple. Phoebe nearly handed Isaiah back to Sydney, and the feelings she claimed to have for him at Casa Amor disintegrated the moment she stepped into the villa. The islander came onto the show with a determination to win Isaiah over, and it’s possible this had nothing to do with how she felt about him and everything to do with her knowing he was the easiest islander to win over and that it would be her best shot at getting into the villa.
If there’s anything fans have learned about Phoebe from her time at the villa, it’s that she’s a smart woman. She barely shed a tear for Isaiah and seems to be on the hunt for any guy who can help her make it to the finale. While she may have an attraction to some islanders, her motives seem to be pointing in a different direction. The Love Island USA contestants should be wary of getting close to Isaiah’s Casa Amor partner.
