Why Ken Jeong Says Upcoming The Masked Singer Season 8 Is His Favorite

The Masked Singer season 8 premieres on September 21, and panelist Ken Jeong has revealed why it is his favorite season yet. Hosted by Nick Cannon, The Masked Singer is one of the most popular reality singing competitions. Season 8 will once again feature Ken, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, and Nicole Scherzinger on the panel, along with the occasional celebrity guest. The Masked Singer season 8 will have double unmaskings in every episode, with one contestant being crowned the King or Queen in each show. That performer will move on to compete in the next round.

The Masked Singer season 8 has a record-breaking 22 contestants. Many of the masks have already been revealed including Hummingbird, Gopher, Milkshake, Fortune Teller, Beetle, Pi-Rat, and the three-person costume the Lambs. In addition, fans have been introduced to Walrus, Scarecrow, Avocado, Bride, Venus Fly Trap, Hedgehog, Sir Bugaboo, Harp, Maize, and another group of three, the Mummies. Glimpses of several more of the masks have been seen in promos for the show.

In an exclusive First Look trailer for The Masked Singer season 8, Ken shared that the upcoming season is his favorite because “everything feels like a finale each and every time.” He gushed, “You feel the tension. You feel the highs. You feel the lows of the show even more sharply. That’s why this season is genuinely my favorite season ever.” In the trailer, Ken says that The Masked Singer has “amazing” costumes, performances, and reveals. Clips of many of the upcoming performances are shown, as Nicole shares that “everything is bigger: the audience, the talent, the voice.” She also teases her own upcoming performance on the show.

The Masked Singer season 8 trailer also reveals some big surprises, including the addition of theme nights for the first time in the show’s history. The theme nights that previously have been revealed are “Vegas Night,” “Comedy Roast,” “Hall Of Fame,” “Muppet Night,” “Andrew Lloyd Webber Night,” “TV Themes,” “’90s Night,” “Thanksgiving,” and “Fright Night.” The Muppets make several appearances in the trailer, along with Blue Man Group for “Vegas Night,” Jon Lovitz and Leslie Jordan for “Comedy Night,” and Andrew Lloyd Webber for the night dedicated to him. The Masked Singer season 1 runner-up Donny Osmond, Carrot Top, and Lance Bass are also seen in the promo.

The trailer for The Masked Singer season 8 is a celebration of music. Many fans probably will agree with Ken that it is their favorite season yet. There are so many surprises and changes to look forward to. The Masked Singer has always been superb at keeping the show fresh and new. Season 8 really does seem as though it will be the best ever.
