Why It’s Too Late In Big Brother 25 To Introduce New Powers

Why It’s Too Late In Big Brother 25 To Introduce New Powers

During Big Brother 25 week 11, BB Comic-Week introduces two new powers, the Power of Invisibility and the Power of Multiplicity, but it’s way too late in the game for these twists. So far, Big Brother has celebrated its milestone season by creating a more challenging game filled with many twists and turns. They began on premiere night when Big Brother legends Danielle Reyes, Britney Haynes, and Frankie Grande used a Time Laser, and “accidentally” unleashed four multiverses into the house. The premiere also featured the addition of Survivor legend and houseguest Jared Fields’ mother, Cirie Fields, as the 17th houseguest.

Throughout the Big Brother 25 season, many other twists have occurred. The Power of Invincibility allowed fans to vote for the four houseguests they wanted to see compete to win. Matt Klotz won the power, which he used to save Jag Bains after he was unanimously evicted from the house. In addition, during the double eviction, evictees Cameron Hardin and Jared were turned into Zombies who competed to resurrect their games, with Cameron winning. Although all of these twists were very fun to watch, it’s time for them to stop as the houseguests move forward on Big Brother 25.

What Are The Two New Big Brother 25 Powers?

BB Comic-Week has brought two new powers to the game. Host Julie Chen Moonves revealed that The Power of Invisibility shields the identity of the Head of Household (HOH), keeping them a secret while they nominate two houseguests for eviction. Because they’ll never be revealed by Big Brother, they’re also eligible to play in the next HOH competition. Julie also introduced The Power of Multiplicity, which she teased would have the veto players “seeing double.” This implies that there will be two Power of Veto winners this week.

There Are Only 8 Big Brother 25 Houseguests Left

Why It’s Too Late In Big Brother 25 To Introduce New Powers

After Cameron’s eviction, he became the first member of the Jury of 7. There are now only eight houseguests remaining in the game, two of which will sit in the Final 2 chairs. As Matt, Jag, Cirie, Felicia Cannon, Bowie Jane, Blue Kim, America Lopez, and Cory Wurtenberger battle it out for the $750,000 prize, they should be able to do so without any more twists affecting their game strategies.

Big Brother 10, which is considered one of the best seasons, was a “back to basics” season. This is allowed winner Dan Gheesling to play a game that wasn’t hindered by twist after twist, although he was America’s Player for a week. Now that the eight remaining Big Brother 25 houseguests have survived so many twists, including having two unanimously evicted players come back into the house and a week with no HOH or Power of Veto winners, they should be able to play the remainder of the game with their own strategies. The randomness and challenges that come with twists shouldn’t affect them at this point.

A Twist Shouldn’t Affect The Game This Late

The Final 8 Big Brother 25 houseguests have worked very hard to get where they are today. Whether they’ve done so by winning competitions or playing under-the-radar games, they’ve all managed to survive 11 weeks in the Big Brother 25 house. This is extraordinary as they’re trying to last for 100 days during this milestone season.

Although the Power of Invisibility will most likely help the week 11 HOH, the Power of Multiplicity could damage their game. If the HOH nominates two people for eviction, and then two other people win the two vetoes, there is a chance that all four of them could be safe if the winners save the nominees. With only eight people remaining in the house, the HOH might then have to nominate one of their own allies for eviction. Although it’s not a likely scenario, it is possible, and would be unfair to the HOH at this point.

The Big Brother 25 Power of Invincibility, which was used earlier this season was very unfair to the HOH that week, who was Cameron. Cameron became the HOH after winning the grueling Pressure Cooker endurance competition with an astounding time of 13 hours and 49 minutes. He was just five minutes shy of breaking the record for the longest competition in Big Brother history.

However, when Matt saved Jag from his eviction, Cameron’s incredible achievement was all but erased. Still, it was early enough in the game that Cameron had multiple options for allies to help him move forward, even though Jag stayed in the house. At this late stage of the game, if the HOH’s nominees stay, there aren’t many options to guarantee their safety next week unless they win HOH again. Their nominees could easily seek revenge on them.

There Have Already Been So Many Twists

Although twists make the game exciting, sometimes it’s fun to simply watch the houseguests play Big Brother without powers that affect strategy. It can be frustrating to see a favorite player gain power, only to have it stripped away from them by a twist that’s beyond their control. Big Brother 25 has been full of twists this season, which have made the game exciting and challenging, but it’s time to put them to rest now, and let the houseguests play.

The remaining Big Brother 25 houseguests are very strategic, and have plans in mind for the futures of their games. Without any more twists, the players will have to rely on their physical and mental skills, as well as their social games, to move forward. They won’t have to worry about their fellow players having secret advantages, or evicted houseguests returning as they make their final game moves. The Big Brother 25 finale is only weeks away now, and it’s time to let the houseguests play a pure game.

Although twists and powers have always been part of Big Brother, and should continue to be, there comes a time when it’s too late in the season to introduce new ones. While it’s true that sometimes the houseguests have to deal with things being unfair to them because it’s part of the game, the end of the game should be played unhindered by outside forces. As Big Brother 25 comes to a close, these should be the final powers introduced into the game before the winner is crowned on finale night.

Big Brother 25 airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EDT, Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT, and Thursdays at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
