Why Fans Say Lizzy Savetsky Was Fired From RHONY Season 14 & Didn’t Quit

Lizzy Savetsky recently announced her departure from The Real Housewives of New York City season 14, but while she made it sound like she voluntarily quit, Bravo viewers think that Lizzy was actually fired. Lizzy, who gained a hefty Instagram following as a fashion influencer and matchmaker, was originally slated for The Real Housewives of Dallas season 6 before the series was canceled. After Bravo made the decision to reboot RHONY with a new cast and introduce the anticipated spin-off RHONY: Legacy, the RHONY season 14 cast was revealed at BravoCon in October.

In addition to Lizzy, Brynn Whitfield, Erin Dana Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Sai De Silva, and Ubah Hassan were chosen to represent RHONY season 14 when the show returns in 2023. On November 16, however, Lizzy announced her departure from RHONY season 14 due to alleged antisemitism. “I thought participating in [RHONY] would be a great chance to represent people like me and share my experience,” Lizzy wrote, but concluded that, “This path was no longer right for me and my family.” While Lizzy’s announcement implied that she chose to leave, however, several clues online have led fans to believe that Lizzy was let go from RHONY season 14.

Lizzy Savetsky Allegedly Fought With RHONY Season 14’s Brynn Whitfield

Shortly before Lizzy’s announcement, Reddit user u/Top-Jelly7934 reported that Lizzy was allegedly fired from RHONY season 14 after an explosive argument with Brynn. Reddit user u/Far_Remove_2775 commented that if the rumors are true, the newest chaotic RHONY moment started after Lizzy failed to play matchmaker. When Lizzy’s husband, plastic surgeon Ira Savetsky, entered the picture, highly controversial blows were traded back-and-forth with the other RHONY season 14 women present. If inappropriate statements were indeed uttered by the Savetskys, it makes sense that Bravo would fire Lizzy after RHONY season 13 ended in racial allegations made against Ramona Singer.

The RHONY Season 14 Cast Allegedly Discussed Lizzy Savetsky

After Lizzy’s exit from RHONY season 14 was confirmed, u/Top-Jelly7934 shared an Instagram Story from Ubah where multiple housewives could be heard in a passionate conversation. While Ubah showed off a variety of sauces, the alleged voices of Brynn, Erin, and Jessel were caught in a discussion that seemed to revolve around Lizzy. Although Ubah, who recently bumped into Ramona, cut through the background noise, one woman clearly said, “…if she was offended by it, you should have just been like, ‘Oh s***, I’m so sorry.'” Another voice then responded, “Did I not say that? In a text? Did I not say?” While it’s hard to say what the conversation was about without context, several RHONY fans think that Lizzy was the subject of discussion.

Lizzy’s Instagram Posts Were Criticized After RHONY Cast Announcement

When the RHONY season 14 cast were announced in October, fans who combed through the housewives’ social media profiles immediately criticized Lizzy’s Instagram posts in a Reddit thread by u/n0tebook6. Lizzy, who is a self-described Zionist, particularly caught the attention of RHONY fans with a post from March 2022 that condemned Bella and Gigi Hadid, the half-Palestinian daughters of Yolanda Hadid from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, as antisemitic. Bravo viewers were concerned that Lizzy would be controversial on RHONY season 14, and now that she is no longer affiliated with The Real Housewives of New York City, signs point to their intuition being correct.
