The much-anticipated second season of White Lotus will take place in Italy. Created, written, and directed by Mike White, The White Lotus premiered on HBO in July 2021. Season 1 followed an ensemble of pampered guests and beleaguered employees at the titular resort in Hawaii, with a cast that included ​​Connie Britton, Murray Bartlett, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Lacy, and Steve Zahn. Following the immense success of the first season, HBO announced that The White Lotus would return for season 2 as an anthology series in a new location.

The White Lotus season 2 will take place in Italy, Variety reports. Shooting is set to take place in Taormina, a resort town in Sicily. The White Lotus will once again film at a Four Seasons, this time Sicily’s Four Seasons San Domenica Palace, which will stand in for the fictional White Lotus chain. While the shooting schedule has yet to be confirmed, the hotel is currently closed to guests until April.

Also joining is Aubrey Plaza as Harper Spiller, a woman vacationing with her husband and his friends.
