The Pokémon Company has revealed the next official Pokémon Trading Card Game set, Triplet Beat for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which focuses on PaldenPalden’s three starter Pokémon—Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly—along with their evolutions. This set highlights the unique abilities and strengths of these creatures, and is set to be released in Japan on March 10th, with a worldwide release to follow.

The reveal of these cards took place during a livestream, where it was announced that the Triplet Beat set will feature several Paldean favorites, such as Paldean Tauros, Oricorio, and Clavell, the director of the academy. In addition, artwork rares are making a comeback in the set, with each of the three starter Pokémon receiving one. Having this eventful set follow what was in the Scarlet and Violet sets from earlier this year seems to indicate to fans the potential of this expansion.

Fuecoco Is The Best Full Art Card In Pokémon TCG’s Triplet Beat

Fuecoco is considered the most competitive of the three starter Pokémon in the Triplet Beat set, and therefore the best of the Full Art cards. This is due to its high HP of 90 and its ability to (potentially) heal 30 HP each turn, making it a strong early-game card that is very likely to evolve into its powerful Skeleridge ex form. Out of the three, Fuecoco’s high stalling and defensive abilities make it the best Pokémon card for competitive play.

Quaxly, on the other hand, has lower use due to its attack requiring 2 energy for a mere 20 damage output, as well as its low HP in the Triplet Beat set. While the possibility to block damage on the enemy phase of its Pokémon TCG battle is valuable, the low damage is too limiting of a factor.

The third starter Pokémon, Sprigatito has a unique ability that puts two basic energy cards from your deck into your hand in the Triplet Beat set, but its low HP of 60 makes it unlikely to endure attacks. The ability is however, highly synergistic with its second stage Meowscarada ex evolution which adds a lot of value to the card, but not enough to surpass Fuecoco’s tankiness.

All Three Cards Will Probably Be Very Valuable

The Starter Full Arts in Triplet Beat have garnered significant attention for their visually stunning artwork. The art of the Sprigatito card in particular boasts vivid colors, while Fuecoco’s artwork depicting the Pokémon in a shopping cart has captured the hearts of many fans with its adorable depiction. The quality of the Artwork rares have left fans excited for what’s to come, especially as the release date for the Triplet Beat Subset approaches. However, in terms of use in the TCG competitive scene, Fuecoco stands out among the others.

The Pokémon Company has a series of thrilling releases planned for fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The Scarlet and Violet Triplet Beat set will be the first of several upcoming releases, including the Snow Hazard and Clay Burst sets, the Iono Gym Set, Pokémon Card 151, and Raging Surf, among others. Each of these releases promises a vast selection of new and captivating Pokémon cards for collectors and players to enjoy. The upcoming year holds great potential for fans of the franchise.
