From a homicidal comic book character to a real-life figure skating champion, Margot Robbie is an actress who actively resists being type-cast. The range of her roles is impressive. An earth sign, those with the sun sign of Taurus have a great capacity for survival, as shown in Ann’s emotional and physical strength in surviving a post-apocalyptic world. Like all Tauruses, she is self-reliant and doesn’t shy away from hard work.
However, she is also welcoming and kind, taking in the stranger who appears at her door and nursing him back to health. When Loomis proposes using items from the church to create solar power, Ann is a true Taurus in her resistance to change and adherence to what she believes is right, walking the fine line between stubbornness and being dogmatic.
Gemini: Jess (Focus, 2015)
Geminis are all about restless change. Like Jess, they demand excitement. As a con artist, Jess is adaptable and can change in the blink of an eye. She is curious and bold, like most Geminis and hungry for new sights and adventures.
Though this quality can be attractive, it can cross over into recklessness and unnecessary risks, and though Jess may quit the con game, she can’t resist being lured back by the thrill of dancing with danger in the form of the charismatic Will Smith. As is common for Geminis, Jess is such a situational chameleon that she can never be truly known, and she likes it that way.
Cancer – Harleen Quinzell (Suicide Squad, 2016)
Cancers feel deeply, so much so that being around them can feel like a rollercoaster ride. Like Harleen, who is a licensed, practicing psychiatrist who falls for perhaps the worst choice in all of Arkham, Cancers are ruled by emotional impulse and find it hard to let go of their objects of affection.
Once they feel connected, they are incredibly loyal, as Harleen shows by willingly falling into the chemical vat, but can become clingy and often fear abandonment. Though Cancers can put on a convincing show of being social butterflies with over-the-top personalities, like Harleen, they do so to hide their vulnerability.
Leo: Tanya (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, 2016)
No other sign is as charismatic as Leos are, a skill that comes easily to Robbie’s character, Tanya. Almost before she appears on-screen, Tanya’s reputation as fearless precedes her. Tanya enjoys being the center of attention like all Leos. Her choice of career as a journalist in an active war zone alone announces her determined ambition.
Leos tend to be leaders and influence the behavior of those around them, seen when Tanya immediately takes Kim under her wing and helps her to understand the realities of Kabul. As a Leo, she isn’t bothered by the threat of danger – she is far too confident in herself to doubt that she will succeed at whatever she undertakes.
Virgo: Elizabeth I (Mary, Queen Of Scots, 2018)
The Virgin Queen, Elizabeth I, is associated with the sun sign Virgo, but that has little to do with what she did (or didn’t do) under the sheets. The mantra of Virgos is ‘I analyze,’ and Elizabeth never stops thinking, playing a constant mental game of chess. She is deeply cautious and can come off as cold.
Her reluctance to share her feelings puts her in direct contrast with her fiery cousin, Mary, who never hesitates to speak. While Mary charms everyone who crosses her path, Elizabeth, the quintessential Virgo, holds everyone (including herself) to an impossible standard of perfection.
Libra: Jane (The Legend Of Tarzan, 2016)
Libras love balance, which is a handy skill for a woman who spends a lot of time in treehouses. As Jane, Robbie highlights the confident and out-going nature of Libras. Jane works, like all Libras, to achieve peace and harmony.
She abhors violence but will hold firm against anything she considers unjust. Jane is patient and persuasive with Tarzan as well as extremely loyal, another Libra trait. As a woman who defied the gender roles of her time to pursue her dreams, Jane epitomizes the free spirit and bravery of Libras.
Scorpio: Harley Quinn (Birds of Prey, 2020 & The Suicide Squad, 2021)
The Harley from these films has undergone a transformation and come out a Scorpio. With their hard exoskeleton, Scorpios don’t allow anyone close, and if someone (the Joker) manages to get through and burns them, it will go pretty much like the scene where Harley rams a highly flammable truck into a chemical plant.
Though they might appear flighty at times, Scorpios never forget a favor or an insult, creating life-long friends and enemies with equal ease. Scorpios don’t have a dull moment, but that’s because they are dangerous at all times.
Sagittarius: Allison (Dreamland, 2019)
Allison is a sweet-talking bank robber, which makes her a Sagittarius – impulsive with a tendency to gamble and manipulate others. Sagittarians have a need for freedom and travel, which is why Allison can’t stand being cooped up. Their heads rule their hearts, and they are intensely private despite their fun exterior.
The viewers never get to truly know Allison, her motives remaining mysterious like most Sagittarians. Like the constellation that represents them, the centaur, Sagittarians will always run wild, and anyone who tries to tame them will regret it.
Capricorn: Kayla (Bombshell, 2019)
Capricorns long to be the Queen Bee. Like Kayla, who wants to rise up the news corporation ladder, they have high expectations for themselves and always give full effort. They like to keep their personal lives out of the public eye, and even though Kayla is upfront about her attraction to Jess, she remains emotionally shuttered, not willing to let anyone too close.
Capricorns can struggle with romance because they always want to have the upper hand and can give off vibes of being bossy and high-maintenance without realizing it.
Aquarius: Annie/Bonnie (Terminal, 2018)
Artistic and born to stand out, Aquarians are bold and unpredictable. Like Annie and Bonnie, they constantly up-end expectations, keeping everyone on their toes. They are capable of great love and loyalty, as the sisters show.
However, they are equally comfortable with seeking revenge for past wrongs, as Simon Pegg’s character Bill discovers. Aquarians are fans of upsetting the status quo and delight in shocking others, especially people who are presumptuous enough to think they can ever determine an Aquarian’s core nature.
Pisces: Tonya Harding (I, Tonya, 2017)
Tonya, with her thirst for fame, and desire to live a fairy tale, is obviously a Pisces. Intensely aware of others’ feelings, Tonya has stewed her whole life in her mother’s criticism, and later in her husband’s abuse.
Pisces are often described as too emotional, but they feel deeply and need patience and support to reach their goals. It is clear from Robbie’s portrayal that if Tonya’s family had helped elevate her instead of tearing her down, her story probably wouldn’t have ended in tragedy.
