The release of Jurassic World Dominion has marked the end of the six-film arc in the Jurassic Park series. The movie has proven to be a massive box office success from the get-go, with protagonists Owen Grady, Alan Grant, and Claire Dearing, among others, all receiving focus from fans for their involvement in the plot.
A great way viewers can see themselves in the characters is through the Chinese zodiac. These represent the personalities of people born in a 12-year cycle who all have unique traits. Whether it’s a powerful figure like Owen or someone calm and patient like Ellie Sattler, the audience can find comparable characteristics in the core cast of Jurassic World characters.
Rat: Franklin Webb

Tiger: Claire Dearing
Tigers are strong-willed, bold, and impressive, carrying a determination that many others don’t possess. Claire proved to have these traits when she faced the dangers of Jurassic World to save her nephews and later battled Biosyn to rescue Maisie.
Tigers have a disposition that makes them seem like people with authority, and Claire indeed carried herself in such a way since she usually took on a leadership role. Her boldness showed when she faced terrifying dinosaurs yet still tried to protect them.
Rabbit: Ellie Sattler
Rabbit personalities are elegant people with patient attitudes who are gentle with others even if they are more skilled. Rabbits have natural instincts that make them alert to things that needed to be noticed, which is how Ellie became involved in Jurassic World Dominion when she realized Biosyn was behind the locusts.
Unlike Alan and Ian, Ellie kept a cool head throughout their infiltration of the facility and she used her skills to gain the sample of a locust’s DNA to out them as the guilty party. She remained firm in her beliefs, as the majority of Rabbit zodiac sign people do.
Dragon: Owen Grady
One of the things Jurassic World has done better than Jurassic Park is the sheer scale of its effects, most of which have involved Owen as part of the action. This ties into Dragon personalities’ love for adventure, as well as being powerful, talented, and carrying a strong drive.
Owen was the leader of the trainers at Jurassic World and took on a leadership role in the subsequent movies’ adventures. He’s never been someone to sit around while others risked themselves, and Owen has carried his powerful traits in battling the villainous characters. Dragons are go-getters by nature, which is how Owen conducts himself.
Snake: Simon Masrani
There are some Jurassic World characters that resemble MCU heroes, with Masrani having the style and riches reminiscent of Tony Stark. Like Snake zodiac personalities, Masrani was a graceful, expressive person who could be gritty when the time called for it.

He turned on Dodgson when he learned of the latter’s corruption and took an active role in bringing him down.
Ramsay had hopes for Biosyn to become big when he believed in its ideals but chose his integrity above all else. Horses value independence and freedom and will try their best to make others feel this way – Ramsay’s betrayal of Dodgson was for this very reason.
Goat: Barry Sembène
People born under the Goat zodiac are friendly, amicable, and mild-mannered people who are known for their kind nature. Barry was shown to be Owen’s loyal friend, going so far as to help Owen infiltrate the dinosaur black market in Jurassic World Dominion and nearly getting killed for it.
Goats persevere when things get tough, although their sensitivity never wanes. Likewise, Barry remained his friendly self even after going through a hellish time at Jurassic World, being thorough and professional all the way through.
Monkey: Henry Wu
Henry Wu’s presence is one of the references to Jurassic Park in Jurassic World, as he was the one behind the creations of the dinosaurs and the locusts. Monkey zodiacs are brilliant, positive, and have abilities that many others are envious of due to their smarts.
Wu was most definitely brilliant in his field since he dealt with advanced genetics, and he carried the Monkey zodiac’s affinity for being cordial and amiable. However, people of this sign can get too high-minded with themselves, and Wu fell prey to this when he became unethical with his experiments.
Rooster: Zia Rodriguez

Ian has always had the best quotes in Jurassic Park and Jurassic World movies because of his reflective personality. Similarly, Dog zodiac personalities are prudent and considerate, thinking of the people at large rather than just about themselves.

Maisie’s need for independence showed at the beginning of Jurassic World Dominion when she felt stifled by secluding herself. Pig personalities appreciate their loved ones but want to be the people to provide, with Maisie feeling trapped as a result.
