Which Euphoria Character Are You, Based On Your Zodiac Sign?

HBO’s teen drama Euphoria offers insight into the harsh realities of contemporary teenagers. As Euphoria‘s best quotes exemplify, the characters are growing up in a world that millennials only saw a glimpse of. Relationships are highly transactional, defined by casual sex, trading nudes, and the internet. Gen-Z has a reputation for being more experimental, expressive, intuitive, and individualistic, which is highlighted both by Euphoria‘s characters and cinematography.

If Euphoria as a whole could be a zodiac sign, it would be a Sagittarius. Gen-Z shares a Pluto in Sagittarius, which is what makes these freedom-loving teenagers so artistic, blunt, and spontaneous. Each character brings something unique to the table, though. Some spit fire, while others prefer to keep to themselves.

Updated on August 19th, 2021, by Kevin Pantoja: One of the main things that has made Euphoria such a success since it premiered is the diverse cast of characters. Each of them is flawed, seems to have a tragic backstory, and handles almost every situation in a way that usually makes things worse. Their complex nature makes them relatable to the viewing audience at home who may see similar traits to their zodiac signs in these characters.

Updated on February 25th, 2022, by Kevin Pantoja: Season 2 of Euphoria has done a remarkable job of further developing the show’s main characters. Lexi has become a much bigger part of the show, Maddy has shown a more compassionate side, Cassie has gone off the deep end, and that’s just to name a few. Euphoria has also added to the cast, introducing some new characters who are just as complex as the rest of the bunch, while also shining a new light on characters who weren’t as prominent in season 1.

Aries: Maddy Perez

Fiery, passionate, and outspoken, Maddy represents the unapologetic and chaotic Aries energy. In fact, Maddy’s quotes on Euphoria alone show that this girl is direct, but also a little bit reckless. She’s not the type who thinks before she acts.

When Nate brought another girl to the dance to provoke Maddy, she didn’t turn the other cheek but decided to dance with another guy right in front of him. Aries natives show love in aggressive and contradicting ways, just like Maddy.

Taurus: Fezco

Fezco on a couch in Euphoria

The sure-footed drug dealer the audience all grew to love definitely acts like a Taurus. Fezco loves his family and his friends, and it hurts him to see them struggling.

Fezco is one of Euphoria‘s most likable characters because he is loyal, grounded, and reliable. His true Taurus nature was furthered in season 2 as he hasn’t altered his path. It makes sense since the Bull is extraordinarily hard to change.

Taurus: Elliot

Dominic Fike as Elliot on Euphoria

One of the newest additions to the cast, Elliot is actually another character who best represents the Taurus sign. These are people who kind of want to keep things chill and lowkey, which is just what Elliot does as long as he has his drugs around.

When things get too dramatic or serious with Rue and Jules, Elliot gives in and even regrets his decision to get involved. It might mean that things don’t get better for Rue but that’s okay to Elliot because it allows him to avoid the drama.

Gemini: Cal Jacobs

Geminis are known for their playfulness, flexibility, and intelligence. They also notoriously have two sides to them, just like Cal Jacobs who leads a double life in order to feel good about himself, they tend to get bored really fast.

These airy creatures are the masters of pretending and lying; they can adapt to all kinds of situations. Mr. Jacobs lacks most of Geminis’ unconcerned approach to life, though. It’s safe to say that he feels caged by his family, which is something Geminis can relate to.

Cancer: Cassie Howard

Cassies looks in the mirror in Euphoria

Cassie’s story was thoroughly explored in “The Trials and Tribulations of Trying to Pee While Depressed.” Even though she is more than just a pretty face, she is often reduced to her looks. For the most part, she is the most feminine and sensitive of the cast, which makes her a typical Cancer.

Cancer is the sign that represents home, roots, and mothers — themes that were very much highlighted in Cassie’s arc. Of course, she’s more difficult to nail down after the changes she goes through in season 2.

Cancer: Gia Bennett

Gia Bennett standing in her house in Euphoria

Poor Gia Bennett has been through so much during her short life. She is the one who found Rue when she overdosed and that terrifying moment has scarred her. Gia wears her heart on her sleeve and is a highly emotional person.

She fits the bill of a Cancer pretty well, just like Cassie. Gia is a very sensitive person who is known to take on the problems of others, letting them weigh her down. On top of it all, Gia also is someone known to forgive Rue but judging by how much anger she holds in, she certainly hasn’t forgotten, which is another Cancer trait.

Leo: Nate Jacobs

Nat and Cal Jacobs at the high school in Euphoria

Nate Jacobs definitely enjoys somewhat of a regal status in his community, but that’s not the only thing that makes him a Leo. A Leo’s biggest flaw is their pride and Nate will do anything to protect his reputation and status, which turned him into a legitimately dangerous character.

Nate is always calm and collected, but he makes sure to compliment ladies on their looks even if it comes from a pretty gross place. Deep down, he yearns for love and admires ambition in people.

Virgo: Rue Bennett

Rue looking sad in Euphoria

The show’s narrator was born three days after 9/11, which makes her a Virgo. Most people know Virgos as analytical busy bees and due to their perpetually busy brain, little Rue ended up on medication at a very young age.

Zendaya is a Virgo as well, so it’s no wonder that she breathed life into this earthy and self-critical character with such nuance. You can tell that Rue has a practical approach to things when she’s sober. When she’s on drugs though, almost every decision she makes is a rash one.

Libra: Chris McKay

McKay in Euphoria

If Cassie is a water sign, McKay is an air sign; these two typically don’t have much in common, even though there is no denying they care about each other. Libras represent partnership and balance.

McKay is one of the rare guys in the show who are not total commitment-phobes, but reality fails to meet his impossibly high expectations and ideals about what a relationship is supposed to look like.

Scorpio: Kat Hernandez

Kat Hernandez

It makes sense that Kat Hernandez’s MBTI® is ISFP: indeed, she is intuitive, introverted, and highly creative. This girl is incredibly private and likes to keep things to herself. Ultimately, Kat is definitely a Scorpio and there’s proof in her fashion sense, the compliments she receives when it comes to relations, and her popular fan fiction.

When Kat saw Ethan talking to an attractive girl, she shut down and was mean to him because she was afraid of getting hurt. Her emotions run deep, but she won’t let them show as a sign of weakness.

Sagittarius: Ali

Ali learns his fate inside a diner in Euphoria

The stereotypical Sagittarius native is loud, optimistic, and adventurous, but these fiery creatures are actually also the biggest philosophers of the zodiac. Rue’s sponsor Ali has a wild past, but he has since turned into a brutally honest intellectual.

In the Christmas special, Rue and Ali discussed the harsh realities of drug addiction in a diner for almost the entire runtime. Since the Archer is also known as the zodiac’s best conversationalist, it’s only fair that Ali takes the spot as the show’s most prominent Sagittarius.

Capricorn: Lexi Howard

Lexi crossing her arms in Euphoria

Lexi is Rue’s childhood best friend, and Virgo and Capricorn definitely make for a great friendship duo. Unlike most other girls on the show, Lexi isn’t preoccupied with popularity, appearances, and glittery makeup.

She is the kind of girl who stays loyal to herself and those she cares for. While other girls saw Halloween as an opportunity to seek validation from others, Lexi dressed as Bob Ross. She also showed serious hard-working capabilities with all of the effort she put into her extensively produced play.

Aquarius: Jules Vaughn

Jules at the fair in Euphoria

For the most part, Aquarians are highly individualistic and humanitarian, and they love their freedom above all else. Jules is undoubtedly Euphoria‘s resident Aquarius: her original make-up and her affinity for one-night stands over monogamous relationships are the most obvious traits that support this fact.

In one of the show’s most emotional scenes, Jules sent Rue a text that simply read “I miss you.” A water sign would pour their heart out, but that’s all one might get from an Aquarius: a simple three-word text is the ultimate expression of love and affection in the world of water-bearers.

Pisces: Ethan Lewis

Ethan in Euphoria

Ethan Lewis was fascinated with Kat from the moment he saw her. Pisces are naturally drawn to Scorpios, and Scorpios in return are afraid of the power the last zodiac sign has on them. Kat was shown to somewhat run from the possibility of something serious with Ethan

Ethan is kind, considerate, and in touch with his emotions. He’s not the type who needs to preserve his ego at all costs, but he is prone to having a victim complex.
