Where Was WandaVision Filmed? All Locations Revealed

Where Was WandaVision Filmed? All Locations Revealed

Marvel Studios’ first TV series for Disney+, WandaVision, filmed all across the United States to bring several new locations into the MCU. After their storyline ended in tragedy in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany returned as Wanda Maximoff and Vision, respectively, in Phase 4’s WandaVision. Initially, it wasn’t clear how Vision had been brought back to life and was able to live a happy life throughout the decades with Wanda and their two children, Billy and Tommy. However, it soon became clear that Wanda’s grief had led to the creation of the world inside the Westview Hex, imprisoning all the town’s residents within.

WandaVision marked a huge shift for Marvel Studios, as not only was it the studio’s first TV series for the new Disney+ streaming platform, but the show also took on a very different tone to previous MCU projects. Delivered in a sitcom-style format, each episode of WandaVision focused on a different decade, with the entire set, every costume, and even the actors’ characterizations changing with the ever-shifting time periods. WandaVision episode 1 was even filmed in front of a live studio audience, but while the first episode was filmed inside a studio, several other prominent locations were featured throughout the series that brought the world of WandaVision to life.

10 Blondie St., Warner Bros. Ranch Facilities, Burbank, California

Where Was WandaVision Filmed? All Locations Revealed

MCU audiences might have recognized the street that Wanda and Vision moved to in the opening moments of WandaVision episode 1, as many movies and shows have used Blondie St. on the Warner Bros. Ranch in Burbank as their suburban setting. The Studio Tour lists titles including Bewitched, Young Sheldon, and American Beauty as some of the most famous, while Blondie St. also formed the setting for Wanda and Vision’s home in WandaVision. The Ranch in Burbank was sold in 2019 for renovation, with plans to demolish the Blondie St. homes to make way for further offices and stages, making WandaVision the final project to film in this iconic location.

9 Trilith Studios, Atlanta, Georgia

Trilith Studios, formerly known as Pinewood Atlanta Studios, has been used to produce a number of notable films and TV series over the years, including several Marvel Studios projects. In fact, the first project to ever film at Trilith was 2015’s Ant-Man, and since then, others, including Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Loki, have filmed there, among many others. Scenes of the interior of Wanda and Vision’s house in WandaVision were filmed at Trilith Studios, on Stages 3, 9, and 11, according to Trilith Studios’ website. It was here that the cosmetic changes were made to Wanda and Vision’s home as the decades passed.

8 Golden Oak Ranch, Santa Clarita, California

Downtown Westview in WandaVision

Owned by The Walt Disney Company, Santa Clarita’s Golden Oak Ranch formed the setting for scenes of Downtown Westview in WandaVision, including those surrounding the bandstand, Vision’s office, and public library (via Sceen-It). The Golden Oak Ranch has been a filming location for many high-profile projects since it was established in the 1950s, including Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Parks and Recreation, The Office, Back to the Future, and Westworld. Most of WandaVision’s outdoor scenes that didn’t take place on Blondie St. took place on the Golden Oak Ranch, most prominently in the series’ final episode, during which Wanda is confronted with Westview’s tormented residents.

7 Fayetteville, Georgia

Road into Westview in WandaVision

According to Atlas of Wonders, the street leading into Westview where Monica Rambeau, The Marvels’ new hero, and Jimmy Woo first meet is located across the street from Trilith Studios in Fayetteville, Georgia. While the road is real, the houses in the backdrop were created digitally, meant to resemble the style of homes on Blondie St. in Burbank, California. This location is where Monica and Jimmy first become aware of the Hex around Westview in WandaVision’s premiere episode, though it doesn’t have a great deal of significance in the rest of the series.

6 Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39, Merritt Island, Florida

SWORD Headquarters in WandaVision

Although Marvel Studios likely didn’t actually film at the Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Florida, Reddit user 0rig0 spotted a striking similarity between Launch Complex 39 at the Kennedy Space Center and the exterior of SWORD’s Headquarters in WandaVision. Their similarities are so distinct that it’s likely Marvel Studios based SWORD’s Headquarters on this location, as the lakes, neighboring coastline, roads and pathways, and even rocket launch pads are exactly the same. The exterior of SWORD’s Headquarters is only seen briefly in WandaVision, but it being based on the Kennedy Space Center cements its role and importance in the MCU.

5 Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, Georgia

Inside SWORD Headquarters in WandaVision

As for the interior of SWORD’s Headquarters in WandaVision episode 4, “We Interrupt This Program,” these scenes were filmed in the lobby of the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The building, usually used as a convention center and exhibition space, has the perfect futuristic feel for SWORD’s base in WandaVision. This is not only the place where Monica Rambeau works (and where her mother, Maria Rambeau, worked before her), but is also the setting of Wanda’s mission to reclaim Vision’s body. When this ultimately fails, however, she leaves SWORD’s Headquarters, carrying her grief with her, which leads to the Westview Hex being created.

4 Rolling Hill Drive & Highpoint Court, Meadow View, Williamson, Georgia

Vision's creepy Halloween walk in WandaVision

The picturesque Rolling Hill Dr. and Highpoint Court in Williamson, Georgia were used as the setting for Vision’s lonesome walk on the outskirts of Westview in WandaVision episode 6, “All-New Halloween Spooktacular!” (via Movie Maps). These beautiful residential streets were transformed into the setting of some of WandaVision’s most eerie and disturbing moments, as Vision witnessed Westview residents trapped in simple time loops, with Wanda’s magic unable to extend so far out in as much detail. Williamson Zebulon Road formed Ellis Avenue, the area where Vision attempted to leave the Hex to seek the help of the SWORD agents beyond.

3 Bouckaert Farm, Fairburn, Georgia

SWORD temporary retreat at Bouckaert Farms

The area where SWORD establishes its temporary base of operations after Wanda expands the Westview Hex was filmed at Bouckaert Farm in Fairburn, Georgia, a popular filming location for many projects over the years (via Atlanta Magazine). The setting for Monica Rambeau and Jimmy Woo’s experimental trip back into the Hex isn’t too far from here either, and other Marvel Studios projects have also been filmed at Bouckaert Farm. This is also the site of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts’ cabin in Avengers: Endgame (via Bouckaert Farm), so this location has already made its mark on the MCU’s history.

2 Luther Bailey Rd. & Old 85 Highway Intersection, Senoia, Georgia

Vision and Darcy Lewis stopped at intersection in WandaVision

According to MCU Location Scout, the intersection where Wanda stops Vision and Darcy Lewis in WandaVision episode 7, “Breaking the Fourth Wall,” is located at Luther Bailey Rd. and Old 85 Highway in Senoia, Georgia. Fans of The Walking Dead will recognize this location from the series, as the bulk of the AMC show’s filming is done in and around Senoia. This location doesn’t have much significance in WandaVision, other than being the place where Vision learns that he had died in Avengers: Infinity War and realized that Wanda was behind the strange happenings in Westview.

1 Starr’s Mill Waterfall, Senoia, Georgia

Agatha and her coven at Starr's Mill Waterfall in WandaVision

MCU location scout Jovial Jay pointed out on Twitter that the 1693 flashback in WandaVision episode 8, “Previously On,” showing Agatha Harkness killing her coven was filmed at Starr’s Mill Waterfall in Senoia, Georgia. This scene gave a brief insight into Agatha’s history, and her motivation for staking out Wanda, as she wanted to harness her power for herself. However, by provoking Wanda, Agatha actually helped her embrace her destiny as the Scarlet Witch in the final episode of WandaVision, therefore perhaps creating the means of her own downfall. Starr’s Mill Waterfall has been used as a filming location for several other projects, including The Walking Dead.
