The Athens airport was cleverly transformed by filmmakers to resemble O’Hare airport in Chicago, Illinois. A house located in a wealthy suburban area of Athens was chosen as the interior filming location for the family home. The historic neighborhood of Plaka, which is the main shopping area in Athens, is a prominent filming location for several scenes. Plaka is known for its neoclassical architecture, narrow streets, and quaint village feel.
The Island of Corfu was the second primary location for the My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 cast, who filmed there for almost a month.
