Where to Watch Survivor Season 43

A whole bunch of strangers plus an isolated location without food or shelter equals the incredibly long-running hit reality show Survivor, but where can you watch Season 43?

The reality show has captured the attention of millions for 22 years and counting. Survivor continues to be a staple show in the houses of so many Americans, as they wait with bated breath to learn the fate of their favorite reality-show contestants. What Is Survivor?

Survivor first began as a Swedish television show called Expedition: Robinson that premiered in 1997. In 2000, the format was adopted for the American television show, Survivor and has been a hit ever since. Since its premiere, Survivor has been nominated for 62 Emmy Awards, has won 7 People’s Choice Awards, a GLAAD award, and more. It is safe to say that Survivor has become a show that, so many are dying to tune into.

People are drawn to the show’s unique and interesting format. The show takes contestants and puts them in a remote location to compete for a cash prize. They are divided into two teams, known as tribes, and are tasked with survival utilizing limited resources The tribes go up against each other throughout the show in challenges that are designed to test their physical and mental skills.

The winning tribe is awarded special rewards, such as food or phone calls. In each episode, the losing tribe is forced to vote a member of their tribe off. This goes on until there are 10 contestants left, at which point the teams merge, and it becomes every contestant for themselves, as they fight to outwit, outplay, and outlast the competition to win $1 million.

Rules to Survive

In order to become the Sole Survivor on the show, there are quite a few rules contestants must follow. Some notable ones include that there is a minimum age requirement, but there is no maximum age limit. In fact, in season 1, a 72-year-old man named Rudy Boesch competed.

Contestants must participate in “survivor school” before being able to participate. The show’s production team explained that this school is held by experienced producers that “show the players things like basic shelter building, fire making, how to maintain hygiene, which nuts are okay to eat, which plants are poisonous and just general overall jungle safety.”

Luckily viewers are not impacted by the rule that states that players are not able to bring personal hygiene items to the game. Toothbrushes, soap, toilet paper, etc. must be left at home. However, things like contacts, feminine products, and medications are allowed.

Surviving Another Season?

Season 43 of this hit show was released on September 21, 2022. This season was hosted by regular-host, Jeff Probst. Of this season, Probst has said, “What we’re really going to look for is how that society that they form directly impacts the game they’re playing, because you have to figure out what are the values, what are the norms, what are the rules of this society, cause they form the rules.”

For a show that has been on-the-air for 22 years and already has 43 seasons, fans seem to not be able to get enough of Survivor. Luckily, the show continues to survive and thrive. Season 44 will be premiering on March 1, 2023, and Probst has said that it is “one of the most intense, unpredictable, inspirational, and most entertaining seasons of Survivor.”
