This is especially true for those looking to stay in the know about what movies could be favored at the Academy Awards. In addition to Stone’s performance, there are other cast members who give awards-worthy performances and Poor Things could also be among the 2024 Oscars Best Picture nominees. There are plans in place by Searchlight Pictures to give the movie a theatrical release, but other at-home viewing options will also emerge later on.

When Will Poor Things Release On Streaming?

Searchlight has yet to confirm when Poor Things‘ streaming release date will be. Since the movie is distributed by Searchlight and rated R, it is expected that it will stream on Hulu when the time comes. Since Searchlight is owned by Disney, Poor Things will be eligible to stream on either Hulu or Disney Plus, but the more adult-oriented nature of the drama makes a Hulu release more likely. As for when exactly this will occur, Searchlight has previously waited about six weeks, meaning a January or February 2024 streaming release is possible.

The earliest opportunity to watch Poor Things at home will come through its digital release, which also has yet to be announced. It should be expected that Searchlight will make the Oscar contender available to buy or rent digitally a few weeks before it arrives on streaming. This will likely mean a January 2024 release on all major PVOD platforms, timing perfectly with the voting period for the 2024 Oscars nominations.
