Where to Watch Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again

This is the place to find out where to watch Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again, an animated film continuing the legacy of the celebrated franchise which brings history to life.

Starting in 2006 with Night at the Museum, the first film featuring a museum that turned into a dream for historical buffs and a nightmare for graveyard security guards grossed over $574 million at box offices worldwide. The movie starred Ben Stiller as Larry Daley, a slacker father turned security guard, and he was accompanied by a host of top Hollywood talent including Robin Williams, Rami Malek, and Owen Wilson taking on the role of prominent historical figures. Night at the Museum gave rise to two sequels with Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb last gracing big screens in 2014. Even with director Shawn Levy dismissing the possibility of a fourth feature film, in 2016 it was reported that a remake was in the works which eventually morphed into the animated Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again. The CGI-animated film sees Larry Daley appointing his son Nick as lead guard for the museum, which inevitably follows the predictable but proven formula of the previous movies.

Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again will once again bring beloved historical characters like Theodore Roosevelt and Jedediah back to the land of the living, and you can watch it on Disney+ this December 9th.

What Is Kahmunrah’s Role In Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again?

Where to Watch Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again

Kahmunrah was last seen in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, as the central villain in the 2009 sequel. The Egyptian Kahmunrah mercilessly ruled the Smithsonian museum and was obsessed with stealing his younger brother Ahkmenrah’s magical tablet and using it to conquer the world. Kahmunrah and his undead army are eventually banished to the underworld of Duat by the Abraham Lincoln statue with Larry and an opposing force of historical figures defending the museum. In the trailer for Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again, the antagonist is seen escaping from a crate in the museum’s basement that Larry previously had warned his son Nick about.

While none of the original Night at the Museum cast is returning to voice their animated counterparts, the movie is not short of talent with Zachary Levi taking over for Ben Stiller as the voice of Larry Daley and Steve Zahn as the cowboy Jedediah. Teddy Roosevelt also seems to have a significant role in the film which sees the notable first-time appearance of Joan of Arc. Night at the Museum director Shawn Levy is on board as a producer with Matt Danner directing the animated chaos.
