Where To Watch Madame Web: Showtimes & Streaming Status

The Sony Spider-Man Universe will expand with the addition of Madame Web, a film with a variety of viewing options once it is released. Thanks to a partnership between Sony Pictures and Disney, the Marvel Cinematic Universe finally introduced its iteration of Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, with Tom Holland as the iconic web-slinger. With both previous Spider-Man movie franchises having concluded (at least until Spider-Man: No Way Home brought their respective Spider-Man variants back), Sony initiated a new live-action Spider-Man universe, based on the web-slinger’s villains and supporting characters, with Madame Web set to be the latest installment.

Madame Web debuted in the early 1980s as an ally of Spider-Man’s. Madame Web (Cassandra Webb) is a mutant with powerful psychic abilities, including telepathy and precognition. Madame Web will make several notable changes to Webb’s origin, including having her gain her superpowers in an accident rather than derive them from her mutations. The film – which will also include the live-action debuts of three spider-themed heroines from Marvel’s comics and the morally ambiguous Ezekial Sims – is rumored to also feature a connection to one of Sony’s previous Spider-Man movie franchises.

Madame Web Releases In Theaters On February 14, 2023

Madame Web will be released in theaters on Wednesday, February 14th. In addition to standard formatting, the film will have release options for IMAX, 4DX, and the panoramic ScreenX format. The film’s release date was notably adjusted multiple times, with initial release dates in July and October 2023, respectively. While Madame Web is not a romance movie, the film may nevertheless be an enjoyable option for Valentine’s Day weekend.

When Will Madame Web Release On Streaming?

Sony lacks a dedicated streaming service, with most Sony films streaming on Netflix following their theatrical runs. It is unknown if or when Madame Web will make it to Netflix, however, as Sony recently entered an agreement with the streaming service Crave that began in April 2023. While there is no set date for Madame Web’s streaming release, it is safe to assume that the film will be on Crave sometime after its theatrical run.

When Will Madame Web Release On Digital?

There is also no set digital release date for Madame Web at this time. Considering that films are usually released on digital home media roughly 90 days after their theatrical release, viewers can expect Madame Web to be released digitally in early May 2024. If Venom: Let There Be Carnage is any indication, however, Madame Web may have an earlier digital release date, with early or mid-April 2024 being possible in terms of a release window.
