Where To Watch Jury Duty Online – Is It Streaming On Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Or Hulu?

Fortunately for fans of the Amazon series, there are a number of options for where to watch Jury Duty. Jury Duty is a one-season hoax comedy show where the joke is played on only a single person, Ronald Gladden. Gladden believes he is serving on an actual jury for a civil trial but in reality, every other juror, the defendants, the prosecution, and even the judge are all actors. Hidden cameras chronicle the trial and the bizarre events that are set up to elicit a reaction from Gladden. It’s only at the very end of the series that the hoax is revealed and Gladden is let in on the joke.

Far from being a prank, Jury Duty ends up being a workplace comedy of one man who is much more patient than the producers ever could have hoped. Gladden’s kindness ends up flipping the script on Jury Duty and what may have been a fun, small experiment ends up as a fascinating insight into human behavior. Part of the success of the series has to be awarded to James Marsden of X-Men fame who is totally game to play an obnoxious self-absorbed version of himself. Jury Duty is a surprising entry in the TV comedy genre and here’s where to watch.

Jury Duty Is Available For Streaming On Freevee

Where To Watch Jury Duty Online – Is It Streaming On Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Or Hulu?

Jury Duty premiered on Amazon Freevee on April 7, 2023, and it remains on the service for those who want to watch season 1. Freevee is an American ad-supported platform owned by Amazon that has original programming as well as a curated library of selected third-party titles. Those with Prime Video have instant access to Freevee and can watch Jury Duty through that streaming platform. There is not the signature Prime “X-Ray” popup on Freevee detailing cast member information and there are commercial breaks, but otherwise, the Freevee interface is exactly the same as Prime Video.

Those who are not subscribed to Prime Video will be happy to know they can still watch Jury Duty. Freevee is available as a stand-alone app that anyone with a smart TV, Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, or another platform will be able to access.

Jury Duty Season 2 Is Possible But Not Confirmed

Two jurors deliberate in Jury Duty

Jury Duty season 2 has yet to be confirmed but producer David Bernard hinted that it could certainly be possible saying, “Yeah, who knows? When the WGA strike is over, it’s something we can sit down and think about as it’s something we may try and do…” It’s a reticent answer, but there’s no doubt that viewers would love to return to the series, and with the writers’ strike now over, it could be a good time to renew the show for season 2.

However, because Jury Duty season 1 was dependent on Gladden not knowing he was on a hidden camera show, it may be difficult to catch lightning in a bottle twice. Jury Duty worked both because Gladden had no idea what was going on and because he was an interesting and likable protagonist. If a similar set-up is made for season 2, it’s possible that the mark would quickly grow wise to the ruse, and there’s a chance they aren’t as pleasant or endearing a person as Gladden. Jury Duty season 2 is not guaranteed to live up to season 1, but it would still be widely streamed.
