A new teaser for The Wheel of Time season 2 hints at Rand’s upcoming storyline as well as other major moments from the books. The show, which is based on the fantasy novels of the same name by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, premiered on Prime Video in November 2021. The show stars Rosamund Pike as Aes Sedai Moiraine Damodred, who returned alongside the bulk of the ensemble cast in season 2, which premiered its first three episodes on the platform on September 1.

The teaser showcases the events of the upcoming episode 4, “Daughter of the Night,” which is due September 8, as well as the storylines that will run through the end of the season. This includes the hunt for the Horn of Valere, more and more people being turned to the Dark, and Rand (Josha Stradowski) lamenting his status before being reminded of his burgeoning power by Siuan Sanche (Sophie Okonedo).
What’s Next In The Wheel Of Time Season 2
From this teaser, it is clear that quite a few events from the original books will come to pass in the show. This includes an attack on Egwene (Madeleine Madden), Elayne (Ceara Coveney), and Nynaeve (Zoë Robins) in the Aes Sedai’s White Tower. The arrival of villains in this sanctum is a major part of their journey in book 2, 1990s The Great Hunt.
The season is also centering Rand’s story as he comes into his powers. Currently, the rest of the group is unaware that he is still alive, and on his own he is concerned that being the Dragon Reborn could come with a cost to his mental integrity. The shot of a hooded Rand, which has been used in multiple trailers and is clearly key to the Wheel of Time Rand storyline, could also indicate that he visits the Aiel Waste.
This teaser also hints at the impending invasion of the secondary villains the Seanchan. When Rand reunites with the rest of the group, they will have to face off against these foes as well as the minions of the Dark One, presenting them with an enormous challenge. Although there are only five episodes left in The Wheel of Time season 2, it looks like they will be jam-packed with world-rending incident.
