What WWE 2K22 Patch Update 1.05 Changes & Fixes

A new patch update is now available for WWE 2K22, which includes fixes for not only the gameplay, but a few game modes as well. Since the title’s launch, the most prevalent issue has been server stability problems, rendering players unable to play game modes such as MyFACTION, and being able to create and upload custom wrestlers. The new 1.05 patch introduces some quality of life improvements to the game, as well as improving server stability.

The previous installment in the WWE 2K franchise, WWE 2K20, became infamous for the amount of bugs it had at launch. Thankfully, WWE 2K22 hasn’t faced similar issues, partially due to the fact developer Visual Concepts and publisher 2K Sports took a year off between releases to avoid another repeat of 2K20. The end result has been a much-improved game, with WWE 2K22 receiving good reviews and a better reception among the fanbase.

WWE 2K22‘s 1.05 patch update has already been released on all consoles, and focused on issues that players have been vocal about after the game’s launch. As disclosed on the WWEGames Twitter account, 2K server stability has improved, which results in players seeing fewer disconnects throughout their time playing. It also aimed to remedy a few bugs that could be found while creating a character.

WWE 2K22’s 1.05 Patch Update Brings Quality Of Live Improvements

What WWE 2K22 Patch Update 1.05 Changes & Fixes

Another issue that this patch attempts to fix is crashing and other problems in WWE 2K22’s game modes such as MyRISE and Universe Mode. Quality of life improvements in regards to superstar interactions, frame rate lag, controller issues, visual performance, and overall stability have all been included in the 1.05 patch. This is just the first patch update of many, so players should expect to see more coming in the near future.

Even with these improvements, however, there have been reports of constant crashing on consoles, especially in WWE 2K22’s Universe Mode, at times making the feature unplayable. The title is also experiencing server errors from time to time as well. This can be especially annoying when playing MyFACTION, which requires servers to be online in order to play it, despite it being a single-player-only mode.

WWE 2K22 players have been vocal about the problems that they have been encountering online, and it appears that it’s being taken to heart as some of these complaints have been addressed in the 1.05 update. While no new content came with the patch, 28 fighters have been confirmed to come down the line as DLC in WWE 2K22. The latest installment in the series is already off to a good start, and if patches like these can amend many of the more frustrating bugs, it should provide a great platform for said DLC to succeed.
