What Will Victoria Neuman Do With Gen V’s Supe Virus? The Boys Season 3 Holds The Answer

What Will Victoria Neuman Do With Gen V’s Supe Virus? The Boys Season 3 Holds The Answer

Victoria Neuman’s big plans remain a mystery, especially after she acquires the supe virus in Gen V, but The Boys season 3 might have already foreshadowed what she intends to do. Like its parent series, Gen V brims with shocking revelations and unforeseeable twists that set the stage for several prominent plot developments in The Boys season 4. For instance, Gen V season 1’s ending suggests that Cate and Sam might join forces with Homelander in The Boys season 4 and may even get recruited as members of the Seven.

In its closing episodes, Gen V also brings in Victoria Neuman and highlights how she tricks Cardosa into giving her the supe-killing virus. Gen V establishes that the virus plotline will eventually develop into a major narrative thread in the franchise’s overarching narrative. However, it does not reveal what Neuman wishes to do with it, leaving one curious about whether her The Boys season 3 storyline might have hinted at her motives.

Victoria Neuman Vs Marie Moreau: Which The Boys Supe Is Stronger

Marie Moreau and Victoria Neuman are powerful supes with the same ability in The Boys’ universe, but one appears to be stronger than the other.

Victoria Neuman Now Has The Supe Virus Developed In Gen V

Victoria Neuman cleverly acquires the supe virus in Gen V and ensures that no one else can get their hands on it by killing Dr. Cardosa. However, what she plans to do with it remains a mystery. After Marie told her about her virus in Gen V, she must have realized how, in a world where supes are growing from strength to strength in power and influence, a supe-killling virus could be an ultimate weapon to rise to the top of the supe food chain. Human-made weapons like guns and bombs could likely not kill Homelander. Given how he is portrayed as a Superman parody in the series, even nuking him may not kill him.

Acquiring a supe-killing virus gives Neuman the ability to overpower even the strongest supes like Homelander if the need arises in the future. How she will get her enemy supes in contact with the virus is yet to be seen. She will likely ensure that no one else learns about her secret weapon. However, little does she know that Grace Mallory is already aware of the virus, and as a scene from Gen V hints, she might have even informed Billy Butcher about it. With so many story developments surrounding the supe virus, it is hard not to wonder whether Neuman will be able to use it or someone else will snag it from her before she gets the opportunity to.

The Boys Season 3 Suggests Victoria Neuman Will Destroy The Virus

Antony Starr as Homelander and Victoria Neuman as Claudia Doumit in The Boys

Victoria Neuman herself is a supe, which should be a solid reason for her to destroy the virus and avoid taking the risk of letting it out in the world. The Boys season 3’s ending moments also revealed how she wanted her daughter to become a supe and even injected her with Compound V. Now that The Boys season 4’s trailer has confirmed Neuman’s daughter, Zoe, is a supe, the virus could potentially kill her if it gets released in the world. She turns her daughter into a supe because she loves her and wants her to be able to protect herself from any potential dangers. Why would she put her daughter’s life at risk by letting the virus out?

However, while letting the virus out could have disastrous consequences, there are a few safe ways in which Neuman can still use it. In Gen V, Dr. Cardosa confirms that the virus is contagious but not airborne, suggesting it can only spread through direct contact or proximity. Like Shetty and Cardosa, Neuman will have to imprison the supes she infects and ensure they do not come in contact with anyone once they are capable of spreading it. As The Boys season 4’s trailer reveals, Neuman will also become the Vice President in season 4. With her new position of power, she could hire someone to study the virus and create a vaccination to protect herself and her daughter.

Dr. Cardosa Could Have Been Wrong About The Virus In Gen V

Dean Shetty and Dr Edison Cardosa in The Woods in Gen V

Dr. Cardosa claims he meticulously crafted the virus, and no one can recreate it. However, he likely worked with a team of scientists to develop it, and his allies might have a fair idea about how he made it. The fact that Dean Shetty blindly trusted Mallory and told her about the virus suggests she was too careless about keeping it a secret. This could mean that she might have told someone else about it and even given them its recipe. Many viruses can survive a few hours to a few days on surfaces, suggesting that even Billy Butcher might have found traces of it in the Woods after his Godolkin University visit in Gen V‘s mid-credits scene.

Since Neuman always plays the long game instead of settling for small wins, she might hire an expert to study the virus, understand how it can be made, and even manufacture a vaccination that protects her and her daughter from it. Given how Gen V emphasizes the virus and its importance, it will likely get out and start spreading in The Boys‘ future seasons. However, it is yet to be seen whether Neuman will be responsible for the potential supe pandemic in The Boys or someone else like Billy Butcher will let the Gen V virus out and set the world on fire before he succumbs to his brain tumors.
