What To Expect From Masters Of The Universe: Revelation Season 2

Warning: The following contains SPOILERS for Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 1.

What can fans expect to see in Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2 and how soon can they expect to see it? The new Netflix revival of the classic animated series has largely pleased fans of the original He-Man cartoons and has them ready for more. Unfortunately, they may be in for a long wait given the lengthy production cycle animated series require, but they can take heart that Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2 is a certainty just waiting for an official release date.

Set in the magical world of Eternia, Masters of the Universe: Revelation reintroduced viewers to Prince Adam of Eternos; the latest in a long line of champions chosen to wield the mystic Power Sword and protect the secrets of Castle Grayskull. The original animated series centered around Prince Adam, in his alter-ego of He-Man, defending Eternia from the evil forces of the sorcerer Skeletor. Masters of the Universe: Revelation continued the story from the original series, but placed its focus upon Teela, Prince Adam’s best friend, and Captain of the Royal Guard of Eternos, as she led a party assembled to reforge the Sword of Power after its destruction.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation lived up to its explosive title, with twists and turns in every chapter. The show’s writers have a daunting task ahead of them trying to top what has come before in Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2. Here is everything that is known about Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2 so far.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 2 Release Date Info

What To Expect From Masters Of The Universe: Revelation Season 2

A release date for Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2 has yet to be announced. Fans should be prepared for a long wait, as the original voice recording for season 1 took place in 2019 and it will take some time after that is completed for new episodes of Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2 to be animated. However, showrunner Kevin Smith has said, in a post on his Twitter account, that he has Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2 all plotted out and is just waiting for Netflix to give him the go-ahead to start putting scripts into production.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation Season 2 Story Details

Masters of the Universe Revelation Skeletor with the Sword of Power

The battle for Eternia may become more bloody than ever in Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2. The final episode of season 1, “The Forge at the Forest of Forever,” ended with Skeletor claiming the Power Sword and the secrets of Castle Grayskull for himself, transforming into a more powerful form, as Prince Adam lay bleeding to death. Evil-Lyn and Beast-Man, who had joined with the heroes of Eternia to restore the Power Sword and stop the slow death of magic, rejoined the invigorated Skeletor, though it seemed clear their hearts were not completely in it.

While Skeletor may have returned (and be more powerful than ever) by Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2, his efforts to conquer Eternia may not go unopposed, even ignoring the possibility of Evil-Lyn or Beast-Man betraying him. The first season saw Tri-Klops form a new cult based around the worship of technology, recruiting many of Skeletor’s former henchmen and transforming them into cyborgs like himself.  While Tri-Klops and his forces retreated in “The Forge of the Forest of Forever” as it appeared the magic of Eternia had restored Castle Grayskull, the cult could return in Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2, with Tri-Klops pitting his science against Skeletor’s sorcery.

Where this leaves the heroes of Eternia in Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2 is anyone’s guess. The biggest question is if Prince Adam will survive his wounds from the season 1 finale and what will become of him having already died once in defense of Castle Grayskull. Whether Prince Adam lives or not, it seems unlikely that Teela will stand idly by and let Skeletor or Tri-Klops tear apart Eternia while trying to take it over. Presumably, she will seek out some of the scattered heroic warriors who have yet to make an appearance in the revival series and we may see characters like Ram Man, Stratos and Buzz-Off in Masters of the Universe: Revelation season 2.
