What To Expect From Fear The Walking Dead Season 6

What To Expect From Fear The Walking Dead Season 6

Here’s what to expect from a sixth season of Fear the Walking Dead. In its fifth season, the AMC series has taken a hopeful tone by focusing on more than just survival.  Following the events of the season 4 finale, Morgan (Lennie James) and the other survivors are now working toward a new goal: helping people. Pursuing this goal has been at the center of the story for many of the main characters, but each of them has had their fair share of obstacles, not the least of which being Logan (Matt Frewer), and now the Pioneers. Led by Virginia (Colby Minifie), the Pioneers are a dangerous community determined to expand and rebuild society, doing whatever it takes to get what they need.

What started with a group of just ten survivors expanded greatly throughout season 5 as Morgan and the others recruited more people and started a large convoy of travelers. Along their journey, they’ve reunited with Salazar (Rubén Blades) and were joined by the second crossover character from The Walking Dead, Dwight (Austin Amelio). Over the course of the season, the group has picked up several new members, including Grace (Karen David), Rabbi Jacob (Peter Jacobson), and Wes (Colby Hollman).

Shortly before the mid-season break, it was announced at SDCC 2019 that AMC had renewed Fear the Walking Dead for a sixth season. The renewal decision was not surprising, considering AMC’s continued commitment to producing stories for The Walking Dead universe for years to come.

Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Story Details

Plans for season 6 have not been confirmed, but it’s expected that Fear the Walking Dead still has much to do with its current storyline. Virginia and the Pioneers weren’t introduced until the conclusion of season 5, and given the scale of the story and the extent of Virginia’s reach, it stands to reason that the Pioneers are a threat that won’t be going away time soon. It seems like a safe bet that Virginia is the main antagonist of Fear The Walking Dead season 6.
