What The MCU’s Strongest Avengers 5 Line-Up Looks Like

While there are still three years until Avengers: The Kang Dynasty hits screens, it isn’t difficult to discern what the strongest MCU Phase 6 Avengers will look like with the current lineup. Despite the fact that some of the original Avengers have either died or retired, the cavalcade of newer heroes on the horizon provides a bigger pool than ever from which to select the mightiest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Given that the Council of Kangs was revealed to comprise a veritable army at the end of Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania – this is certainly a good thing for the future of Earth.

There is still a lot that can happen between now and then, however, as everything we know about the MCU Phase 6 continues to develop. Particularly powerful Marvel characters may make their debuts in any one of the upcoming releases, while some of those who oversaw the events of the Infinity Saga may step aside in some capacity before getting a chance to lend their aid in the upcoming multiversal conflict with Kang. Until either is confirmed, there are still some strong contenders to help form the most powerful Phase 6 Avengers team.

Every Member Of The Strongest Phase 6 Avengers

Working on the assumption that surviving heroes from the MCU Phases 1 through 5 will stick around, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Captain Marvel still pose an incredible threat to Kang. Hulk, meanwhile, despite being less of a physical tour-de-force than he used to be, may combine his powers with other MCU Hulks by the time Avengers: The Kang Dynasty arrives. Combine these with the powers of Monica Rambeau, a more experienced Adam Warlock, and America Chavez – who was last seen honing her sorcerer powers in Kamar-Taj to combine with her multiverse-hopping capabilities – and Kang may have cause for concern with the next Avengers team.

Thus, the most powerful Avengers team that could appear in Phase 6 would be comprised of Doctor Strange, Thor, Captain Marvel, Hulk, Monica Rambeau, Adam Warlock, and America Chavez. The team would certainly be reasonable at only one more member than the original team, and it covers several potential types of threats. Thor, Captain Marvel, Monica, and Hulk are great physical muscles, while Strange covers the team from supernatural threats, and America Chavez gives access to unprecedented travel and mobility across the multiverse.

Why Phase 6’s Actual Avengers Team Will Likely Be Far Weaker

Narratively, it is safe to assume that Marvel will be looking to flesh out the newer characters of the MCU in upcoming Avengers installments, especially if we can expect the Young Avengers team to take center stage in the future. This means that the established strongest Avengers, including Hulk, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Carol Danvers, might take a back seat in the next Avengers outing. This leaves a smaller pool of heroes from which to draw, most of which will be greenhorns when it comes to facing a universe-ending threat.

Similarly, pitting all the strongest Phase 6 Avengers against Kang would negate much of the stakes, creating a far less nail-biting finale than if some of the less powerful Avengers took the reins. With the full cast of the MCU‘s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty to be confirmed, it shouldn’t be assumed that the first half of the climax to the Multiverse Saga will see every Avenger currently in circulation to make an appearance. In addition to the strongest and newest, it’s likely that fan-favorites like Spider-Man, Ant-Man and more will be there as well.
