Kathy Wakile of The Real Housewives of New Jersey was an instant hit when she starred on the show, but after choosing to leave after season 7, viewers are curious about what happened to the mother of two. Kathy often brought a breath of fresh air to the show even if her cousin, Teresa Giudice, attacked her. Sadly, some fans feel she was bullied out by her relative.
When Kathy was on the RHONJ, she was known for her passion for cooking, especially cannolis. With her big blue eyes and calm demeanor, she quickly became a fan favorite but a target for her younger cousin. Melissa and Joe Gorga were ostracized by Teresa during their early season since they often hung out with Kathy and her husband, Richie. While the cousin’s relationship took a hit a while ago; however their feud was reignited when Joseph Wakile called the Gorga’s “farm animals.” Since then, Kathy has moved on with her life leaving her time on Bravo in the rearview mirror.
Since handing in her Jersey housewife title, Kathy has done very well for herself, according to her Instagram. She currently is teaching a cooking course at Remington College, where she shared her love of food with the Culinary Arts students. Kathy also is a partner in a pizzeria business based in Wyckoff, New Jersey, aptly named Pizza Love. There, fans can take some of the same recipes they saw on TV, including her one in a million cannolis. When Kathy isn’t in the kitchen, she can be found out and about as she takes in runway shows and benefits with her husband Richie, who was known as quite the goofball on RHONJ. Kathy, who is a Libra, also celebrated her daughter, Victoria, who got married recently to her now-husband, Teddy Kosmidis.
Even though Kathy and her family do not have a relationship with Joe or Teresa at this point, she still wants nothing but the best for their family. Kathy always shared with the RHONJ fans that she tried her best to mend the family issues but to no avail. The family turmoil and Catskills blowout was the last straw for the already strained family members. Kathy is happing living her life away from the drama.
RHONJ season 12 is about to end with Teresa still ruling as queen bee. Joe threatened to quit RHONJ during the reunion after his sister treated him so poorly. Many feel Teresa wants the show for herself, and no family member will step in her way. For now, fans will have to get their update from her social media when they want to check in on their fan favorite.
