What Jenna Fischer Has Done Since The Office

Jenna Fischer will always be one of the faces of The Office, but the actress continues making a name for herself outside of the NBC sitcom. Fischer starred in all nine seasons of the series before it concluded in the spring of 2013. Before she won the role as receptionist Pam Beesly, Fischer appeared in other series such as Undeclared, What I Like About You, That ’70s Show, and Six Feet Under. Acquiring a role on The Office would prove to be an absolute gamechanger for the actress.

While working on The Office, Fischer pursued a few other acting gigs, primarily in movies. The same year that the sitcom premiered, Fischer cameoed in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, a comedy starring her co-star, Steve Carell. In 2006, Fischer took on the horror movie, Slither, before going back to comedy with films like Blades of Glory, The Brothers Solomon, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, and The Promotion. Towards the end of The Office, Fischer also worked on Hall Pass, The Giant Mechanical Man, and Are You Here.

When The Office came to an end, Fischer split her time between movies and TV series. She appeared in the 2014 romantic drama, Kiss Me, before starring in shows such as You, Me and the Apocalypse, The Mysteries of Laura, and The Grinder. In 2017, the actress worked on the comedy-drama film, Brad’s Status, alongside Ben Stiller, and had a guest role on the TBS series The Guest Book.

What Jenna Fischer Has Done Since The Office

As for more recent projects, Fischer appeared in the biographical film, The 15:17 to Paris, in the role of Heidi Skarlatos. She also made her return as a lead in a sitcom with the ABC series, Splitting Up Together. Fischer portrayed, Lena, a woman who makes an arrangement with her husband, Martin (Oliver Hudson), to separate but still live in the same house to raise their three children. The series ran for two seasons before it was cancelled by the network in 2019.

As of now, the actress isn’t attached to any upcoming projects in TV or movies but that will surely change. Fischer is, however, going back to her roots to develop a podcast called Office Ladies with her co-star from The Office, Angela Kinsey. The co-stars, who remained very good friends following the sitcom’s conclusion, plan to release a new episode weekly. Fischer and Kinsey plan to watch episodes of The Office and chat about stories and behind-the-scenes tidbits. The first episode of Office Ladies is set to debut on October 16. Due to The Office‘s ongoing popularity, we predict the podcast will be a bonafide hit.
