Hogwarts Legacy: The Nintendo Switch Release Date
After the newest delay, all Hogwarts Legacy release dates were revealed. A tweet from the official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account revealed that the game will be released for the Nintendo Switch on July 25, 2023. This date is a full three months after Hogwarts Legacy will release for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 on April 4, 2023, and over five months following its release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Since the game has already been delayed twice before, it’s uncertain whether these release dates will be final or not, as the amount of work the developers still have to finish the game remains unclear.
Hogwarts Legacy: What To Expect From The Game Now
While the continued delayed releases make the fate of Hogwarts Legacy slightly unnerving, the game is still full of promise for those enchanted by the wizarding world. The new characters in Hogwarts Legacy are already better than some of the others throughout the franchise, and unlike many other games either directly related to or inspired by the Harry Potter franchise, Hogwarts Legacy will be all about the individual player, through character customization, choosing a Hogwarts house, learning spells and magic, and interacting with the people and world around Hogwarts. Hogwarts Legacy also seems like it will be a much darker entry into the wizarding world than any other previous media.

An exciting potential feature is if Hogwarts Legacy settles the biggest dark magic debate in the wizarding world, elucidating the line between magic perceived as good and that perceived as evil. Truthfully, at this time, there are still a number of unexpected directions Hogwarts Legacy could go in, for better or worse.
