Welcome to Plathville: Who is Hossana Plath (& Why Isn’t She On The Show)?

Welcome to Plathville viewers want to know more about Hossana Plath, including why she doesn’t star on the show with the rest of her siblings?

The Plath’s are a family of strict morals and beliefs, due to Barry and Kim Plath fearing their nine children will go down the same roads that they did when they were teenagers. Even though the parents have tried their best to control the reigns, the older children have all started to rebel and venture out into the great, big world on their own, much to the dismay of Barry and Kim.

Fans are still getting to know the entire Plath family, and some may be shocked to learn that there is a member of the family that refuses to be apart of the hit TLC show. Kim and Barry are parents to Ethan, 22, Micah, 19, Moriah, 18, Lydia, 16, Isaac, 14, Amber, 11, Cassia, 9, and Mercy, 7. But there is also 20-year-old Hossana Plath, who has almost been forgotten. But has she been left out purposely, or was keeping her distance a conscious choice made by the eldest daughter? TV Show Ace reported that she was the one who made the decision to stay out of the limelight.

Welcome to Plathville: Who is Hossana Plath (& Why Isn’t She On The Show)?

TLC fans will recall that Hossana Plath made the tiniest of blips on one episode during season one, but for all intents and purposes, she is not a part of Welcome to Plathville, and has not been seen on the show again. The second oldest child attended Stamps-Baxter School of Music, where she studied under the tutelage of Allison Speer. Both Kim and Barry have openly bragged about her musical talent, as she can play the piano, banjo, dobro, and guitar. But according to her parents, she is best known for her skills on the violin, which she began playing at the age of five. Hosanna was the first to leave the family nest, and moved from Georgia to Ohio with her husband. The couple met while playing in the Plath family band, and were married in 2019. Now, the two tour the country playing their music together.

TLC viewers have noted that, while the parents were excited for their oldest daughter to begin a new chapter in her life, the same cannot be said for their other older children. Fans already know that there is a rift between son, Ethan, and his wife, Oliva. The family look like they are in for some struggles, and fans are ready to watch it play out on the small screen.

Welcome to Plathville airs Tuesday at 10 pm EST on TLC.
