The Suicide Squad recruited its newest member, Dreamer, in Amanda Waller’s latest ploy for world domination. Waller has sent the team into the city of Gamorra, the island nation formerly controlled by villain Henry Bendix. Amanda Waller Makes Her Move For “Absolute Power” In The DCU

Dream Team #4 variant cover, featuring Black Alice and Deadeye

The Suicide Squad has always been Amanda Waller’s answer to most problems. Now, the team has received a major power boost with the addition of Dreamer, a character who is able to view the future through dreams, as well as being able to view the dreams of others. Amanda Waller has forced Dreamer to join the Suicide Squad, in order to increase Waller’s chances of success with her dark anti-superhero plans. While Amanda Waller stated that Gamorra is being taken over by terrorists, intent on using the advanced weaponry for nefarious purposes, the real truth is much darker than any lie.

Amanda Waller will be going to war with the Justice League and all other heroes in the pages of DC’s summer event Absolute Power. Part of Absolute Power is the fact the superheroes of the DC world will somehow be losing their powers. With characters like Wonder Woman and Superman depowered, Waller will need someplace to put them. This is her true intention for the island of Gamorra, to transform it into a super-max prison where she can put anyone too dangerous or capable for a normal prison.

Dreamer Might Be The DC Universe’s Last, Best Hope

“Absolute power” is what Amanda Waller craves, and it seems as though she’ll come as close as she ever has in DC’s upcoming story event, thanks to the Suicide Squad’s latest unwilling recruit. Dreamer has the power to view the future, and she knows what Waller intends for the island. With Waller threatening Dreamer’s friends and family, the choice to stand against Waller’s machinations isn’t an easy one. Readers will need to keep up with Suicide Squad to discover if Dreamer is able to stop Amanda Waller, something no one else in the DC Universe has managed to do so far.
