Wasteland 3: Tarjan Token Locations (& What They’re For)

Wasteland 3 has a few methods to give players a boost to keep them going, and the Tarjan Tokens is one of them. The Tokens scattered throughout the world of Wasteland 3 are ready to award players hunting them down some hefty Perks. There is a bit of work involved to both find the Tokens and use them. Any work towards them will be highly valuable as the rewards outweigh the time. There is a bit of randomness with what Perks the Tokens give, although if a player gets lucky, the boosts can be significant.

The Tarjan Tokens need the Toaster Repair skill to get. The repair skill is a carryover from previous versions of the game that acts like a lockpick skill for Wastelands 3. Strewn across the world are toasters that contain the Tarjan Tokens required for the Perks. The higher the Toaster Repair skill will translate to more token players will get to unlock to get the Perks through the tokens. As for the Perks, there are six random ones with three being temporary and three that are permanent. The Perks get applied to one character at a time and cannot interchange between characters or removed. Take the time to choose very carefully who will get the random Perk.

With the Tarjan Tokens found, it’s time to head to The Bizzare. There, players will make way to the Cabinet of Curiosities where Quarex the Caretaker can be found. Inside the location in the North West section will have a machine that resembles a fortune-telling machine found in fairs next to a large stone throne. Plunking a Tarjan Token will give one of the following random perks, Precognition (+10 to Evasion), Fortune Cookie (+15 to CON), or Eye of Tarjan ( +2 to Penetration and also gives +1 to Cold Resist.) These are the permanent Perks, but it can also award temporary ones. The choices are either Lightning Strikes Twice in which the character will do 100% Crit Dmg for five attacks, Cunning of Tarjan that is a 25% XP boost for 10,000 seconds, or Magic Fingers that has the Skill Barter raised by one point for 10,000 seconds.
