WandaVision’s Elizabeth Olsen Reveals the Wrap Gift Kathryn Hahn Gave Her

WandaVision’s Elizabeth Olsen reveals the wrap present Kathryn Hahn gave her. Olsen reprised her role as Wanda Maximoff for the hit MCU streaming series. Hahn played the dual roles of Agnes the nosy neighbor and Agatha Harkness, a powerful witch who gave Wanda a run for her magical money.

Agnes’s true identity as Agatha in WandaVision had been predicted by many savvy Marvel comic book fans. However, nobody anticipated that Agatha would reveal herself to Wanda with the hit viral song, “Agatha All Along.” After announcing her true identity, Agatha continued to play a major role in Wanda’s trip back to reality from her fantasy-induced Westview hex. It was also Agatha who had the honor of calling Wanda the Scarlet Witch for the first time ever in the MCU. Agatha may have had her own selfish motives for trying to help Wanda, but her actions did spur Wanda into accepting her role as the Scarlet Witch.

Elizabeth Olsen opened up to Glamour UK about how Hahn was, “delicious to work with.” The two actresses bonded over playing powerful witches, which inspired Hahn’s fun wrap gift to Olsen when WandaVision completed filming. Olsen revealed that Hahn gave her a “witchy gift” box that was filled with, “crystals and magical stones.”

“It was this beautiful, weird little box of treasures.”

Although Olsen and Hahn played formidable adversaries on-screen, it’s nice to know how well the two actresses got along with each other behind the scenes. Although Agatha didn’t take on as much of a mentor role to Wanda in WandaVision as she did in the Marvel comics, she did still help Wanda comes to terms with the full breadth of her powers as the Scarlet Witch. After all, Wanda didn’t even realize she had been a witch all of her life in the first place until Agatha pointed it out during their tour of Wanda’s past traumatic memories.

The WandaVision finale seemingly set Agatha up in a way that would make it quite easy for her to return in some capacity in a future MCU project. It’s difficult to imagine Hahn not returning as Agatha in some way. She proved to be the adversary Wanda ironically needed to realize her full magical potential.

Overall, Olsen and Hahn’s interactions throughout the entirety of WandaVision were entertaining to watch. The seamless transition from their sitcom selves to their ultimate roles as two powerful witches was downright magical, particularly with their final confrontation in episode nine, “The Series Finale.” It would be a shame not to reunite Hahn and Olsen on screen again, but the question is would Agatha return as a friend or a foe to Wanda Maximoff.
