The Walking Dead boss Scott Gimple responds to the possibility of a crossover involving the zombie franchise’s various spinoffs. Though the main Walking Dead series ended in 2022, the franchise has remained alive and well through a number of spinoffs. The latest is The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, which premieres on February 25.
Speaking at AMC’s panel during the Television Critics Association press tour, which Screen Rant attended, Gimple admitted he has laid breadcrumbs for possible crossovers between all of the Walking Dead spinoffs. He added, “Yeah, I do have dreams of merging this all together.” Check out his full quote below:
So when it comes to something like [a crossover event between the new spinoffs], yeah, I do have dreams of merging this all together, and I have laid little breadcrumbs toward that, but you never know exactly when and how because of a variety of reasons… I will just say, I’m building those pathways, but there could be all sorts of pivots along the way.
