Venomverse Just Gave the Sinister Six a Jaw-Dropping Symbiote Redesign

The Venomverse has officially unveiled jaw-dropping redesigns of the Sinister Six with their own symbiotes. The Summer of Symbiotes season-long event is officially under way at Marvel Comics with issues focusing on the wide-ranging multiverse revolving around the fan-favorite Lethal Protector. The Venomverse was recently made official canon, and now a variety of stories are heading to comic book stores that will involve takes on the character in different time periods and situations. Similar to the Edge of Spiderverse series from last year, it will all lead to an epic conclusion this August in Death of the Venomverse, with some familiar faces getting their own symbiotes.

In an official post by Marvel, the official covers for the upcoming Death of the Venomverse series by Cullen Bunn, David Michelinie, Gerardo Sandoval, Justin Mason and Taigami have been unveiled to give fans a sneak peek at what’s to come this August. They feature Carnage traversing the multiverse to “KILL ANY AND ALL VENOMS” as he continues his reign of terror as the Ultimate God Killer that began in last year’s Carnage series. A glimpse through the artwork shows what Venom and his allies will have in store to stop Carnage once and for all. The one that will undoubtedly catch the most eyes is the cover for Death of the Venomverse #2 by Bjorn Barends, which features the Sinister Six donning their own symbiotes with horrific redesigns.

The Sinister Six’s Venom Redesigns Are Haunting in the Best Way

Venomverse Just Gave the Sinister Six a Jaw-Dropping Symbiote Redesign

In this new cover by Barends, the Sinister Six is shown in full offensive mode while donning their new redesigned looks. Each member shares the iconic toothed grin that has made Venom so famous, but the way they’re designed to match their identities is incredibly creative. Rhino looks more like an actual animal with his monstrous size and sharp knuckles. The bloodthirstiness of Kraven the Hunter is on full display with his red symbiote and cruel gaze, while the Lizard has taken a more prehistoric route with lizard-like spikes and long talons. Meanwhile, Electro and Vulture have gotten suit upgrades with their symbiotes as the former’s mask becomes more jagged and the latter’s face becomes hidden in a dome that makes the mystery behind his identity even scarier. However, as cool as these all are, there’s one member who stands out as the absolute best.

Doc Ock Steals the Spotlight With the Best Redesign

Death of the Venomverse Doctor Octopus

Doctor Octopus ultimately stands out as the best redesign of the Six. Not only do his signature goggles give his Venom form an uncanny look akin to a mad scientist, but the arms in particular steal the show. The way they look more fleshy as the symbiote takes hold to make them move in a more organic way that the original robotics could not is incredible. Plus, the claws added at the end of each arm make them ten times scarier. This is arguably one of the best Venomized takes on a classic Marvel character in years because of how uncanny Doc Ock looks here and could pave the way for a new favorite Venom variant that will hopefully appear in more issues in later years.

Comic book fans can see the Symbiote Six in action when Death of the Venomverse #2 hits stores on August 16, just two weeks after the debut issues of the miniseries. There have been many Venomized versions of Marvel heroes and villains throughout the years that have given fans amazing glimpses at how powerful they could become when working with a symbiote. This jaw-dropping new design for the Sinister Six easily takes the cake as one of the best in recent years as the Venomverse begins to heat up for the summer in an epic event.
