Vanderpump Rules: Stassi Schroeder Pregnant With First Child

Hot on the heels of news about Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder getting fired by Bravo over racially insensitive remarks, there is now news about her pregnancy. The 31-year-old is revealed to be expecting her first child with fiancé Beau Clark, 40.

Stassi, along with her Vanderpump Rules co-star Kristen Doute were fired by the network on Tuesday, following a racial prank played by them on former castmate Faith Showers. Additionally, due to her other racist actions from the past, Schroeder also had to give up on her podcast “Straight Up with Stassi.” The podcast, launched in 2015, came after she gained immense popularity with Pump Rules, and also gave way to a live show tour called Straight Up with Stassi, which has now also been canceled. The decision by Bravo to let go of Schroeder and Kristen followed a week after Showers, 31, revealed how the pair had racially profiled and even gone to the extent of calling cops on her in 2018 for a crime she wasn’t connected to. Faith, the only Black woman on the show, further revealed that the duo called authorities after seeing a report in the Daily Mail about a black woman who allegedly drugged and robbed men she met in Hollywood nightclubs. Stassi and Kristen, 37, who had been close friends for years famously had a falling out last season over an argument about the latter getting back with her ex Brian Carter. While both of the VPR stars issued apologies on their personal Instagram accounts, there also came in news about other cast members Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni losing screentime due to racist posts previously shared on Twitter.

Days after getting dropped by sponsors, her agent, and even her publicist, Us Weekly has revealed today that Stassi Schroeder is allegedly pregnant. While the reality star hasn’t yet announced the news to her 2.1m followers, it coming amidst reports of her being cut off from Bravo is further of a surprise. Schroeder and Clark, have been engaged since July 2019 and were supposed to air their forthcoming wedding to Vanderpump Rules fans on season 9. The couple had announced their plans for an October 2020 wedding in Italy during a panel at BravoCon last November. However, a month later, in May, Schroeder took to her podcast and admitted that she wasn’t sure about her dream wedding taking place in Italy amidst the coronavirus pandemic. “I’m so easy-going now because I don’t care about testing the food. I don’t care if the flowers are wilted,” she added. “I just want to get there and once we’re able to get to Rome, I don’t care if only five people show up. The fact that I’ll be able to be there is all I care about. It could be a ratchet wedding in Italy and I’ll be fine.” However, back in February 2020, started working at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant SUR in 2010 which landed her a role on Lisa’s Bravo show, Vanderpump Rules, had said that the couple had put their baby plans on hold so they could get drunk at their wedding. The couple had apparently been trying to start a family even before they got engaged. “I was trying last summer,” she had proclaimed while promoting season 8 of the Bravo show in February this year.

With the happy news that now serves as a plot twist in the ongoing storm at Vanderpump Rules, the future of the show still looks uncertain. While being out of the limelight could be a refresher for the couple, it also means that the Louisiana native has lost the chance to be the star of season 9 with the pregnancy.

Stassi’s relationship with Clark was a sharp contrast from her tumultuous exes Patrick Meagher and Jax Taylor, and their romance provided the show with plenty of “awww” inducing moments since his introduction. As Stassi’s family keep trying for her to get rehired by convincing Bravo to give her another chance, it would be interesting to see if the pregnancy turns out to be her only opportunity to get back on Vanderpump Rules.
