Vanderpump Rules: Popular Super Fan Claims Bravo May End/Cancel Show

With the firing of Jax Taylor of Vanderpump Rules fame, it seems the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spin-off may be coming to an end. The Bravo network was not done cleaning house after their summer tour of canceling their talent, and now the show is left to grow dusty on the shelves.

After seven years of breakups, makeups, multiple weddings, and goat cheese balls, the future of Vanderpump Rules seems clear now. The network has reportedly decided not to progress with a new season and ultimately let all of their talent go with little more than a pat on the back.

News broke on Friday that Jax Taylor had been dethroned by the network. While he and his wife are claiming they just simply decided to walk away from the show that made him famous for being a lookalike Wolverine who bartended, other reports were that he was fired by Bravo. But in a not so shocking turn of events, @Bravoobsesseduk is reporting that the show has been “permanently shelved.” Blogger Tamra Taltlles reported on a Zoom call that took place on Tuesday where the cast found out their talent options were not being extended. Bravo allegedly essentially made the decision to fire the whole cast. If the news is true, all Vanderpump Rules members would also have a one-year non-compete clause, which prevents them from speaking out. The shelving of the show will mark the end of the SUR servers’ time in the TV industry. It was also reported that Jax was angling for a spin-off series for himself and his Kentucky wife, but Evolution and Bravo were not interested.

It was common knowledge that Lisa Vanderpump had signed a contract with Bravo until 2022. So if the show has been canceled, it would make sense that the network would be looking into the possible spin-off options that could be TomTom based. So far, Bravo and Andy Cohen have not indicated the show will be cancelled. Bless Charli Burnett, who was Jax’s personal punching bag during the reunion but now seems to be the number one girl in the group. While she may have caught flack for never eating pasta, she sure knew the right comment that would hit the OG where it hurt, saying, “I guess I do know my role and it’s employed.” Jax himself released an Instagram statement saying, “the last eight years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding, and fulfilling years of my life. Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules.”

Many fans have called for the show’s end since there was practically no one left worth watching. Its viewers’ interest has changed, not to mention that Los Angeles, where the restaurant is based, is in another lockdown. Half the women are pregnant, while most of the original cast has been fired for their hateful rhetoric. The young, bright-eyed and bushy tail Vanderpump Rules cast will have to figure out how to pick up the pieces of their careers and moved on. Maybe the group can meet up in their Hollywood Hills homes and help Jax mow the lawn; we hear it is very stress relieving.
